I’m “working” again. Temping, or as the legal profession likes to call it to maintain an iota of dignity, contracting.
55 hours last week. And when I see my pay check, I am taking home less than I made 6 years ago, and I am not paying anything to 401k, benefits, anything like that.
Apparently it starts breaking down with time in general, even if it’s not in the sun. And yeah, if I recall correctly, it turns into salt water.
Ah, Googling turned up this question on the Clorox site - heat breaks it down fast, but even unopened bleach in cool dark areas will lose effectiveness in about 9 months.
Katy Kitty is throwing up her food all the time. She most likely has worms, but we’re all too poor to take her to the vet right now. Maybe we can get some worm medicine without a checkup, but I doubt it.
When my cat starts throwing up, it’s generally that she’s clogged up with hair. We smear a bit of vaseline onto a foot, two or three times a day, and by day three things are moving again.
Dear Security: When we, the employees, yell “Stop that man!” you might want to take that into fucking consideration. And, you know, maybe do something besides shrug. Grr!
Wow. I honestly had no clue. I thought that bleach lasted forever. We are never too old to learn Makes mental note to check expiration dates for bleach. Makes another mental note to not leave bleach outside. I thought that as long as I kept it in the original opaque bottles all would be good.
Live and learn. Advice offered now…don’t put peroxide in a transparent spray bottle. It turns into water in less than a week. Maybe its not water, I didn’t taste it, but it doesn’t work.
Tech tip: Put a spray thingy into the bottle and spray peroxide over the bugs on your bike or car. The bugs slide off with no scrubbing involved. If the bugs are thick, you might need to keep spraying, but peroxide is cheap and green.
I agree with StarvingButStrong. It sounds to me like your sweet kitteh is blocked. Can you maybe call the rescue groups close and ask them for help. As a rescue person, I can tell you that our group would help you get her vetted. We would much rather help someone keep their pet than have the pet end up dieing or homeless.
I once witnessed someone dressed in what looked like a work uniform walk into the library, unplug a computer and carry it off. The security guy actually went up to him and offered to help him carry it out. I later heard that the computer was MIA. Security guy still works there.
It does degrade into water. Hydrogen peroxide is H2O2. When it degrades, two of the molecules get together and make two waters and one oxygen molecule.
Hey Lady at the laundromat! While your music was pretty good, it is still rude to listen to music without headphones in a public place. Most people don’t want to hear it. Also, don’t call me honey. I don’t know you.
slalexan I didn’t know that. Ignorance fought and you did well!
My mini rant is about my bike, and M. I ride a 95 sportster. The only thing that vibrates more than a sportser is a helicopter or the double A device I have in my nightstand.
My coil mount broke and HD says its obsolute. SUPPORT YOUR PRODUCTS, YOU FLIPPING JERKS!!!
To M. The ebook doesn’t work. If I can’t fix it by reformating, I’ll call Sony. If you keep telling me how good the lastest Weber book is, I’ll have to fly to Texas just so I can toss you in your pool. And then go off and have lunch with PHS at the cheesecake factory. So there!!!
I can hardly grasp or squeeze or do much of anything with my left hand because of my thumb. Arthritis? Tendonitis? It’s a killer, whatever it is. I may have to break down and seek an MRI or something.
It was too nice outside. Mid to upper 70’s on the second day of October in Minnesota.
I went for a 3 mile walk in Lebanon Hills Regional Park, then went home, showered up and met with my sister, then sat around for a couple of hours until I felt sick in the head guilty about being inside on such a beautiful day when it will be snowing before not too long. So I went for another walk in my neighborhood. Another hour at home in my apartment and I started calling people hoping to be able to get out and about. No such luck.
