Hey Monty, what's the deal about Opal stabbing people in the back IRL?

Napalm? Napalm in the morning?

What’s the alternative?

Serious question.

That smells like victory.

Yeah, in 2002 and 2003 Blix reported accurately that there was nothing. Bush & Company said they had facts conclusively demonstrating otherwise, knowing, like Powell did that those “facts” were “bullshit” and went to war anyway leading not too windingly down the path to ISIS. It will only get worse from here. I congratulate all those fools who have a Steve Jobs reality distortion field, however, the rest of us know that arrogant bullies with reality distortion fields are history’s biggest assholes.

I dunno. Degrade? I know I’m splitting hairs here. It’s just the mental imagery associated with each word; a bomb can “degrade” over time, while food can “rot”. Eh?

I was actually asking about the hamburger buns.

It was supposed to look like this.

We once had a poster here who claimed to have a high security clearance in the military and he said that they had absolutely proof that there WERE WMDs in Iraq. He couldn’t tell us exactly what his job was, or the exact details, but he was adamant that Bush and Co. would be vindicated.

Then, of course, it was revealed that there no WMDs. Dude hasn’t posted since. Of course, it’s possible his supervisors lied to him, and he wasn’t exactly lying. :dubious:

Splitting hares?

Now I’m REALLY hungry

Thanks for reminding me about my 15 year old drama. I got nostalgic, then embarrassed, then wrote this, all in the space of three minutes, and next I’ll forget about it for a few more months.

D’oh!! :frowning:

The takeaway lesson here is that people who claim to have information that they won’t share the specifics with you, but demand you accept the claim, are liars. For the purposes of this thread, that means Monty. Always a big liar in my limited experience with him.

As for the high security clearance military poster, he may very well may have been the real thing, but he didn’t have such information, because it didn’t exist. The military, government and politicians will regularly lie to the public to shape public opinion in a process they call propaganda. Modern propaganda theory was developed by Edward Bernays. http://www.historyisaweapon.com/defcon1/bernprop.html

Bernaise? Now we are talking. Like all the “aise” sauces myself. Mayonnaise on my burgers, Hollandaise on my eggs!

In my experience, both you AND Monty are acting like giant douchebags here. Him for coyly hinting at some petty grudge from years ago, and you for flipping out and somehow managing to drag in Bill Cosby, WMDs and global warming. Not that it hasn’t been entertaining. I’m just out of popcorn.

Very well played indeed, sir. golf clap

Okay. You want to know what the grudge is? Opal, at the very same time she was talking to me IRL and pretending to be my friend, was posting trash about me on another site. As it turns out, she’s done that to other people. As another poster mentioned upthread, I did extend an olive branch to her and her response was to increase her vitriol against me. She was a nasty piece of work and it appeared to me that she liked being that way and to hell with whomever she hurt. That’s the reason why I don’t engage in this board’s “Opal worship” and it’s the reason I, along with some others, will have, as I said in the other thread, no problem whatsoever remembering her for something other than that stupid joke. If you think that’s petty of me, well, that’s your prerogative.

The Second Stone: You are seriously losing your grasp. You’re a lying sack of dung and you don’t understand even the concept of decency. I never lied to you, you piece of shit.

It may reveal a lot about my character to tell you that I have been sitting on that one, waiting for a chance to use it, for twenty five years.

SO thank you all–I fulfilled a lifelong ambition last night.

mustard

Congrats!

And it’s good to know I’m not the only one that does that.

All we know about him is his username: TexasRangerOwner. And he said he was going to be busy with some big job-related project in 2004.
