Second Stone was not saying anything a substantial portion of the world doesn’t believe, including other people in that thread. As you point out, you weren’t the only person being so accused, but you were the only one who foamed at the mouth and freaked out. In fact, early on, he went out of his way to say he wasn’t addressing those who had said what you had said (about wanting to remain neutral). You claimed the insult, and thus the motivations he assigned.
To tell the truth, it was your interaction with Second Stone in the Cosby rape thread that makes me question whether Opal did to you was all that bad. You seem to overreact, and while I’ve heard vague allusions to the bad stuff Opal did, everything so far that I’ve seen mentioned turns out to not be anywhere near as bad as people imply. I know that thread that was linked above seems like pretty much nothing compared to how Dopers interact with each other now in the Pit.
And think about who this coming from. My overreactions are why I’m a laughing stock amongst certain dopers. Heck, I’ll even defend people who who other people think are overreacting. If I of all people think you overreact…
