If 40 white guys came forth saying Cosby had raped them (and there was a similar level of plausibility in terms of physical opportunities for it to have happened) it is incredible in the extreme to think that you wouldn’t be inclined to think they were telling the truth.
Again, this is nonsense. Nobody’s ever committed rape while the verdict was being read. A conviction is an official determination that a person committed rape in the past. So the person was a rapist before the trial began. He just wasn’t a convicted rapist.
