Hey night auditor, I can send as many elevators to the top floor I want!

Funny. From your POV ( and what’s wiggling between your teeth ) I wouldn’t have guessed. But, if your money is good, they’ll let anybody in.

Almost.

That’s one hell of an attitude towards women. ( Just how do you keep a wife? )

Are there a lot of slots in Vegas?

Baby Oil too…

I was wondering if anyone got where my quote came from.

“Oh, there are so many slots, you won’t know where to begin.”

Someone’s elevator doesn’t go to the top.

We get a decent number of attention whores here, but most of them have more interesting stories than this.

You know, as particular and persnickety as folks can be about their own comfort, you can’t go around foisting it upon others.
I assume since the OP is on some kinda preferred list with this place. So freebie. Comped. Something.

My ol’ granny always said “Don’t look a gifthorse in the mouth”

… and better slots…

Sorry that I don’t exist to entertain you around the clock. Or anyone…

The purpose of my OP was to get something off my chest. That woman really ticked me off and I was looking for a space to rant.

Me? Attention whore? I don’t post enough to qualify as one!

Yep. Three complimentary nights per week this month, at this property. If I keep adding more points within short periods of time, I’ll eventually get bumped up to a tier which I can get free nights on ANY property under this casino brand. That’s why I didnt yell back at her (except for once) and I didn’t file a complaint. I can’t take the chance of the casino siding with her. If I get in trouble and get kicked out of this property, I will be banned from ALL properties. It’s just how this brand works. That would be a major setback.

And I wasn’t inconveniencing other guests, it was the middle of the night. That NA was picking a fight.

Well, in the middle of the night most guests would already be in their rooms, so it’s more likely for people to be coming down the elevators rather than up. Having them at the top might be more convenient than both elevators at the bottom.

All we know for sure is that having both elevators at the top inconvenienced one person; the OP who sent them there.

They hate you are losing $2K per night on the slots so much that they are willing to give you a free couple hundred per night room. You are really pulling one over on them! Go get’em and fuck the naysayers!

He’s a whale,

Where did I say I was losing $2K per night? I wish I had the bankroll and liferoll to be losing $2K per NIGHT!

Sometimes I put up to $2K in a session. That’s the limit I like to set.

Also pumping $2K (or any amount) =/= LOSING that amount.

I intentionally chase high progressive machines. That’s because if those progressives get high enough, the wins will compensate for your losses. Those progressives can be in the form of jackpots (ex. playing for an $800 jackpot that has been built up by previous guests) or in the form of accumulated free spins. What got me this batch of free rooms at this location was chasing 38 free spins with three wild columns (reset was 5 spins). I only lost $165. And that was pretty bad luck. Otherwise I wouldve won a lot money. Average price for a room per night at most properties is around $150 on weeknights and around $250 on weekend nights. I was comped three free nights per week for Feb and a few days into March. If those were to be paid for out of my pocket that wouldve been at least $1800.

I wouldn’t consider myself as “pulling one over” the casino, but only losing $165 and the being comped at least $1800 worth of hotel nights is quite a deal.

Even Burt Reynolds is laughing at you ( and he’s dead ). Honestly, you gamble like that stupid radio guy with the mutant schnozz from toxic waste… I forget his name.

Do you have experience chasing progressives? Are you close to anyone who has a lot of experience?

All progressives become +EV at some theoretical point. That’s not superstition, that’s math.

“But the house always win!” Many people say.
Yeah, that’s mostly correct. But there’s some nuance to that. Progressives have a reset value. Example: a progressive reset value of $175. Yes, that is on the house. But if players pool in a bunch of money and that jackpot reaches $800, that $625 is NOT from the house. Granted, mileage may vary from machine to machine, and from session to session. Different machines have different payouts…and levels of variance. There are other factors also.

If someone you know has lost their ass chasing progressives, they’re either hopping on to early, or popping off the progressives and then taking that money to gamble on -EV games.

But going by your attitude I assume you’re inexperienced. It’s always the least experienced people who are the most opinionated, when it comes to this subject.

You’re an idiot ( and most likely a liar ). I’ve won plenty of cash at casinos and at racetracks. I’ve bought expensive gifts with them, I’ve bought cars with them. I knew the Eagles were going to win big long before 10 days ago… but it just wasn’t worth the bet. I’ve bet in Vegas, AC, Indian Reservations, Canada for christ sake. And every time I’ve brought home a tidy income bonus.

I don’t bet machines… because that’s Stupid. I bet the people across from me and/or the dealer. I’ll bet roulette. I’ll even bet against idiots like you.

When you’re broke, when you’re broken, when you’re crying to god or scientology, I won’t think about you twice as I cash in my black chips and green rectangle chips at the cages. Say, did you know that for a small fee you can wire money from the casino to your checking, savings, or even stock trading account?

You see, losers always try to get even in the parking lot. Thank god for casino cams, huh?

I am. I’m a software developer. I have worked at two different large US based online casinos (the workforce is in South Africa)

There is no way to win. The house always has the edge. Online casinos offer better odds because of several reasons, including huge competition, but you will never win overall. I mean, in the one casino, they gave us access to the documents generated by actuaries on how odds were calculated.

Sure, you get some entertainment value.
(although if I never spin a fucking slot game again, i will be content. I was doing it for guaranteed money: my salary)
