If you wish to be taken seriously, I’d strongly recommend against using Oliver Stone as a source.
And Peter Kuznick?
Just helping to fight ignorance and, as such, am constrained to point out that you still have not provided any proof for your bald-faced assertion that Obama is politically right-of-center. Your mentioning that a couple of far left-wing liberals are disappointed in him is no proof that he is politically right-of-center.
Considering that one prominent historian I know referred to him as “a media whore who’s more interested in being famous than being a historian” yes, using him as a source diminishes you in the eyes of most reasonable people.
Now, I understand that you find cranks and conspiracy theorists with fetishes for Neo-Nazis and tin-pot dictators to be reliable sources, but the rest of us don’t.
I also, can’t help but notice you failed to show where Obama played the race card against opponents, called for stripping away regulations from banks causing the great recession and scapegoating poor minorities in speeches.
Next time, you might just want to admit you made a mistake rather than foolishly trying ineptly to show that Obama is as right-wing as white trash Bill or admitting that you think conspiracy theorists make fantastic sources.
Using Oliver Stone as a source is even worse than using wikipedia.
I think the topics of whether or not Obama is right of center and how Obama compares to Clinton are both interesting topics deserving of their own threads. I have no problem with your using this thread for the discussion, as I think discussion of the OP is pretty much played out, but I would suggest starting the topics on their own so other will know of them.
Point taken.
Guess what! You’re arguing! ![]()
Fair enough.
I guess this explains the longevity of southern indolence.
I’ll have to tell the fine people of Mississippi the kind things y’all are sayin’ about 'em.
Use small words.
