For those cool kids who aren’t already in the know, if you like meeting fellow Dopers and attending Dopefests, meetup.com is a good way to keep the ball rolling, especially if you want to make it a semi-regular thing. There’s already an SDMB category at http://sdmb.meetup.com so if you haven’t already, give it a shot.

For the San Diego Dopers, I think it might be keen to meet more regularly, as we always have fun when we get together. I might even be tempted to head up to L.A. from time to time if they were to do a regular one.

Basically it just makes planning easier. And aren’t we all about slacking?

Turns out San Diego is the 9th most popular city on their site.

I registered, and was perusing the different categories. You can pretty much meet up with all sorts of folks. Some very intriguing categories.

Yup. Odd, though - they only have a queer politics meetup. I put in for a queer social one, which I think would be more fun (I’m part of the queersandiego LJ community and we’re trying to do a meetup ourselves).
