Hey, where’s Annie-Xmas?

Has anyone seen or heard from Annie-Xmas? Her absence was discussed briefly in another thread, but I’m not able to find that now.

Her last post was on 3/14, here: https://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?p=22189651#post22189651

I hope you’re okay, Annie, wherever you are.

It was mentioned in the other thread that she posts from the library and she uses the local transit system.

Yep. She uses the public library for computer access.
I feel like that’s why we havn’t seen her posting.

And, to further clarify that library reference, the libraries are closed. At least some rural ones have the wifi on so people can use it outside the library; but they may well not be doing that in cities, where too many people might show up and make it impossible to distance. Plus which, nobody here (except presumably Annie) knows whether she needed to use the library’s computer as well as its connection.

Having said all that: hope she’s OK. She works retail, and in what may be a relatively high risk area.

Since this is about a poster rather than the board, it’s better suited for MPSIMS than ATMB.

Thanks for the reminders, running coach, Beckdawrek, and thorny locust. I’d forgotten those details. She’s probably fine!

Yes, she’s a supermarket cashier, definitely high-risk. Wish we had a way of contacting her.

She does have an email address listed in her profile. She might still be able to access this occasionally.

Thanks. I just tried sending to that address but my email bounced.

Bumping this thread @AnnieXmas is in for a shock.
If her old email was all that was listed and it’s no good will she be able to get in?
She’s been around awhile so maybe she has a way of getting in touch with Tuba.
I worry so.

TubaDiva’s email is posted so if AnnieXmas has access to any email she should be able to make contact.

At any rate I hope the email still shows prominently at the top of the main page if one isn’t logged in – I’ve unpinned that post so I can’t tell.

I do hope she’s OK.

Libraries even up here in rural NY won’t be opening for another week or more; and the city I believe is still a phase or two behind.
