I think the question has been answered, but I propose not only a banning, but a hanging, drawing, and quartering for this awful, awful joke. 
I was banking on the idea that a joke can be SO bad that it’s good.

If A, then B (as an empirical, but not logical matter).
If B, then X (as a matter of logic and jackboots).
A. Therefore B. Therefore X.
