Hi-I need smoe help with Enlgish to Abkhaz translations

Hi. I’m interested in the Abkhaz language and I would like some help with English to Abkhaz translations.

Does anyone here know of any forums I can go to to discuss Abkhaz langugae and culture?

I’ve tried finding someone who speaks Abkhaz and I had some problems with some language forums I was at. :frowning:

Does anyone here speak Abkhaz, and can please help me out with English to Abkhaz translations?

Please let me know. Thank you.

HI. I’m working on a language porject involving Taiwanese Hokkien. I’d like to know if someone here can please help me out with some English to Taiwanese Hokkien translations? Please let me know. Thank you.

I’m needing help with your english to english translations.

High Five!

What do you mean?

Abkhaz is the language spoken in Abkhazia, which is near Georgia in Europe.

It’s not that hard. There are Dopers in Taiwan. And, you know, Taiwanese Meinanhua and Fujian Meinanhua are pretty dang close. So, what are you looking for exactly or just throwing out the most obscure language you can thing of? Abkhaz has to be way more obscure than Taiwanese…

Can you please help me out with Taiwanese Hokkien translations?

He means:

could use a little work.

The OP seems to not be a native speaker of English. Perhaps we ought to lay off him?

Try sci.lang.translation on Usenet. Make sure to include the phrases “English to Abkhaz” and/or “EN>AB” in the subject line.

Yes I am-that was a typo.

That was a typo-I meant “some” not “seom”.

Or in Georgia, depending on who you ask.

Sorry, I don’t know any Abkhaz speakers, but you can find a ton of reference material here.

I know - I was just explaining what the other guy meant.

What is Usenet?

A distributed discussion system composed of newsgroups that contain posts relevant to a certain topic. It is commonly accessed these days via Google Groups, which you can access at http://groups.google.com/

Will it work for ANY translation request?

sci.lang.translation is not a machine; it’s a forum frequented by actual humans, many of whom are professional translators who generously fulfill small requests free of charge in their spare time. Therefore your chances of success depend on whether anyone with the requisite knowledge of languages, free time, and good will happens to notice your message. But since it doesn’t cost you anything except a few minutes to type up a polite request, it’s worth a shot.

Am I the only one that thought this thread had something to do with Harry Potter?
