Snow, no. Sleet, yes. Snow doesn’t really bang off of anything (avalanches excepted). (And I also literally had sleet tinkling off my a/c (wasn’t bad enough to be banging, except maybe during one of the stronger wind gusts) most of the day.)
Where I am the snow can build up fast and you can hear it shifting or falling when it needs to.

There are a lot of posters here who first started in college. I was one of them. When I go back and look at my first posts, they’re pretty cringeworthy. I had a weird idea, back then, of what constituted good writing. And yeah, I was an honors student. And yeah, I probably would have described myself as “a 19-year-old man.” And yeah, that would have been laughable.
