This is a good story.
Back when I smoked tobacco, I had a daily limit and wasn’t allowed to open a new pack when I already had an open pack. I always worked at least half an hour drive away from home, so I would ration out my day’s allowance of cigs and hide the rest of them in my desk at work.
This worked to keep me from going over ten cigs a day and had the side benefit of making a mental link between working and smoking tobacco. Once I retired, I smoked all the cigs I had left and never wanted another one.
