Yes…Love that! My sister sent me that link last week. I almost pi$$ed my pants!

Ahh. Fast food employees…gotta love 'em!

Ah yes, mocking people who are mentally challenged.

Really effin’ funny.
Asswipe.

This has been playing on the radio. The lyrics themselves are hilarious. I have no idea why they insist on singing it in a tone that would suggest the person is mentally challenged. Completely ruins it.

I’m gonna have to agree.

I epecially like how the register says: “The Retard Choir Christmas Carol.”

I guess I’m jocularity challenged, since I fail to see the humor.

That is more than a little offensive (and I am one of the most un-PC people around). Most of the people that work in fast food places are most certainly not disabled. Many are students or others that just need a transient minimum wage job for extra money. For those that are truly, mentally disabled, why is it funny to make fun of them? They can’t help it and it is not like anything they can do is going to make it so that they can see the error of their ways and eventually graduate from Harvard with honors. Why don’t you find a video of a person in a wheelchair trying to get dressed so that we can pee all over ourselves next time.

People…please lighten up.

If you take it for what it is…a joke…perhaps you will get it, perhaps you will find it distasteful. Oh well.

What about all the parody’s on SNL? They don’t come out and say “retarded”…but some people find it funny.

Let’s not take life so seriously.

Had it just been the song and a fast food worker, it would have been a hoot. Instead, it’s tasteless and cruel.

And it’s hard to lighten up when you spend your like watching a relative and people with a similar disability being made the butt of such jokes.

It’s not funny. It’s not just a ‘joke’. It’s making fun of someone with a disability. It’s stupid.

What FCM said, pretty much. I spent 12 years watching my stupid classmates make jokes about ‘retards’ knowing my brother sat at his school, in a wheelchair, unable to walk or talk. . . I suppose someone somewhere might have found that funny. But not me.

Maybe a mod’ll close this. I dunno. I certainly don’t find it Hilarious!!!

This is probably a made up joke…a fictional person, and a doctored up song.

I bet the person in the video isn’t even mentally handicapped.

I mean, what if it was an elderly person singing that song? Would you find that offensive? Some people probably would. Some would think it was hilarious.

. . .doesn’t really matter if it’s a ‘made up’ person or not. The idea is that it makes fun of people with disabilities. Is that something you can’t understand?

Oh, yes. I do understand.

This world is full of idiot PC police. Yea, this is only meant as a joke. Nothing more, nothing less.

Should I stop laughing at the singing kitties on rathergood.com because it exploits kitties?:smack:

BTW…my sister is a special ed teacher and was very PC while in college. She learned to lighten up a lot after going out in the real world, working with mentally challenged children.

She is the one who sent me the joke, and yes…she is a highly respected teacher in her district!

Gezzz. Lighten up, Francis.

It’s lame, stupid, and not funny even without the disability angle. WITH the disability angle it’s disgusting.

Let me understand then, if I find it offensive to mock someone who has a disability, then I’m PC Police?

Interesting…

Ah, the “Some of my best friends are retards” defense.

My ex-boyfriend (ex for many good reasons) works as a tech guy at a home for mentally disturbed children, who have some sort of devastating mental illness, such as profound paranoid schizophrenia.

When he spoke of them to me or anyone else, he referred to them as “tards.”

These kinds of things make me mad because it’s like you’re hitting someone who can’t hit back. If I make fun of YOU, you can come up with some sort of retort. These people can’t.

Hey, Siemsi, sorry you don’t get it, but that’s pretty damn offensive. I’m by no stretch of the imagination “PC,” but the second I saw that I was thoroughly offended. There is no humour in making fun of special needs people. And if you’re sister is a special education teacher, I’m even more disgusted by your attitude.

That, and the idea of making fun of people for something that THEY CAN’T HELP. It makes you look like an ass.

Cool! Am I in the PC Police brigade too?! I want to sit next to FCM! I’ll hold the moose!

Seriously, Siemsi, take a look at what you’re laughing at. Please get a clue.
