so, why id the 123 year old Roase Law Firm go bust? HINT: it wasn’t because the lients found the firm to be TOO honest. Webb Hubbel (a partner at RLF) went to jail-not for HONEST behavior!
While we are at it-where did you get the Clintons losing $450K on White Water? They borrowed the money from Madison-and NEVER repaid the loan! The taxpayers got stuck ith the bill! :smack:

The Rose Law Firm’s web site gives no hint of its “going bust.” I presume Hubbell left the firm when he went to jail, and the firm continued without him. One partner in a large law firm is convicted; that does not make a crooked law firm.

In December 1994, Hubbell pleaded guilty to federal mail fraud and tax evasion charges connection with his handling of billing at the Rose Law Firm, a firm with partners that once included Hillary Clinton and Vince Foster. In 1995, he was sentenced to 21 months imprisonment.

The Clintons were cleared of all wrongdoing in two reports prepared by the San Francisco law firm of Pillsbury Madison and Sutro for the Resolution Trust Corporation, which was overseeing the liquidation of Madison Guaranty.
On January 26, 1996, Hillary Clinton testified before a grand jury concerning her investments in Whitewater. She noted they “never borrowed any money from the bank, nor had they caused anyone to borrow money on their behalf.”

So, no money borrowed from Madison Guaranty, and the Clintons had no part in the failure of the bank. The taxpayers did not get stuck with the Clintons’ losses.
