Either Hillary’s hot bod or hemlock poisoning.
What a wretched whore. She begins to sense the end, and then splits off into a multiple personality tour de force where she’s everything from a flippant drama queen to the only person mature enough to answer a disaster call (after six rings). She figured one or the other shit pie would stick if she flung enough of them, and lo and behold — she managed not to lose outright. And now the press is sucking her ass as though she made some sort of brilliant comeback. Gah, pure trash.
I think the Obama coalition, if it can keep itself together, will be a tenuous relationship between cynical but practical Gen Xers and screeching, tiresome entitlement Gen Yers, all united against the fucking baby boomers. There’s my over-simplification for today.
Aeschines, it’s clear that your only criteria for POTUS is that she is a hot babe. Why are you schilling for a dude then? Shouldn’t you be campaigning for Jenny McCarthy?
Oh, and I humbly suggest that you can’t hold your liquor.
‘Crone’ in the very first sentence? that’s got to be a record. But haven’t you ever noticed what a shrill bitch she is?
Brings a whole new meaning to McCarthyism doesn’t it?
Senator, I have never been a member of a communi – you so hawt!
I hope your right. I would consider voting for McCain before I voted for that harpie.
And hold it for 5?
Help! I’m being oppressed! See the injustice inherent in the system!
Gee, that sounds just like the politics verion of “business as usual”. I find it VERY strange. When one party did it repeatedly - even to their own people - it was considered OK. It was being tough, wanting to win, playing hardball, all that bullshit. Now your worst nightmare (I gues) does it, and suddenly it isn’t allowed.
I think it’s bullshit no matter who does it from which party, but what’s even MORE bullshit is this sudden double standard, where Clinton is The EVIL Bitch, for doing just what all the “boys” have always done. Besides, whose ass has the press been sucking for ummm the past 8 years? they just found another food source is all that’s happening.
Yeah, because we all know personality and likability are the top two factors in choosing a leader- people said Dubya was the one they’d most like to have a beer with- how’d that turn out? And he was choice of the people as well.
Neither candidate can get enough delegates to clinch the nomination without using the superdelegates. They were put in place to pick the best candidate, not to reflect the will of the people. Sorry, but that’s just the way it is. Maybe it can be changed next time, but it’s too late for this primary. If I were a superdelegate, I’d vote what I thought was best for the party, not just follow the popular vote or the delegate count (which are not the same thing, btw).
There ya go. It’s all about winning. That’s what it’s always been about. That may sound cynical, but what the hell.
But that’s the whole point, Steve. She IS just one of the boys.
What was remarkable was not that she was all over the place, but that she was all over the place in the span of a few days. In about a week: (1) it’s just such an honor to be here with Barack Obama; (2) shame on you, Barack Obama, shame on you!; (3) if we hold hands the heavens will open and love will steer the stars!; (4) my experience spans 35 years, from the time I left college; (5) the only one who can bring change is me; (6) all your jobs will be restored when I’m president; (7) bad things like NAFTA weren’t part of my experience; (8) he’s not a muslim terrorist as far as I know; (9) you can trust me because I’m the calm collected one.
Have you not been around for an election campaign before?
There usually isn’t a clear-cut frontrunner for the nomination until June.
Calm the fuck down. There’s plenty of time for that fake united front shit.
The superdelegates were put in place to prevent a candidate with no shot of winning the general election from getting the nomination. Obama has a BETTER shot at winning in November than Hillary. So obviously, this is not the sort of situation the superdelegates are there to prevent.
And yes, trying to get the FL and MI delegates to count is the very definition of a devious scheme. Even if other people agree to it, it’s still a dirty, dirty trick that flies in the face of the will of the people. You can’t change the rules after the fact. If she wins the nomination based on those dirty tricks, I will vote for Ralph Fucking Nader, so help me god.
And do you think it would be “best for the party” to select a candidate other than the one chosen by the voters? Would it be “best for the party” to alienate black voters? Would it be “best for the party” to alienate the energetic young voters and budding young organizers who comprise the Obama team and turn them off to politics?
Y’know, if the voters had chosen a Hitler or (God forbid) a Cheney as the Democratic nominee, then I could maybe see superdelegates stepping in and saying “Oh no, that’s not what our party is about.” But in the absence of such a drastic circumstance I see no justification for the superdelegates to void the results of the election.
You can’t just look at the national polls, especially this early, and determine that. There is a reasonable case to be made for either candidate being the better one going into November. Personally, I think Obama is better, but I wouldn’t bet much money on that.
Yes, trying to seat them now is slimy. But we are talking about politicians here…
Why the fuck you bitching? It’s either going to be Clinton-Obama or Obama-Clinton. If Pennsylvania picks Clinton, the end result won’t be known until the Democratic convention.
Take a pill and just chill, m’kay?
