Okay, I have to ask, because I don’t want to give certain websites clicks: is there anything, ANYTHING, to back up this new of wave insistence that Hillary Clinton has some kind of major illness other than amateur armchair doctors?
Even the teeniest, tiniest shred of actual, or even interesting, evidence?
Clinton is not flip flopping because of new information, unless you count Sanders being stronger than expected new information causing her to move left on several issues. Which was the entire point of the Sanders campaign and it was successful.
She’ll flip back once she wins the Presidency, because that too is “new information”.
Assange got his information from Russia and Snowden was helped by Assange to get to Russia from Hong Kong. It’s not to far fetched to think that Snowden is working for the Russians and WikiLeaks. It’s very easy for the Clinton campaign to make this link stick without it coming off as some crazy conspiracy theory. At least long enough to get them thru the election. And a as bonus thanks to Trump for signaling to Russia to provide Clinton’s emails. It makes anything coming out of WikiLeaks suspect and subject to labeling as the Russians trying to help Trump.
WikiLeaks has poisoned any credit I gave to them by being openly in the Trump camp. Anyone can type up an email - it’s just text - and say “Look what I found in Clinton’s email account.”
And while this may reek of McCarthyism, I don’t think Assange is in the Trump camp. He’s in the Russia camp. Who are in the Trump camp. But at this point Assange’s loyalty is to Putin, so Wikileaks is serving that master.
The factual part is that she sustained a concussion and was subsequently treated for a blood clot in her brain in 2012. The evidence for lasting neurological damage and/or pre-existing psychological issues such as autism and narcissistic personality disorder (yes, the Trumpsters are trying to pin that one on Hillary) is that she sometimes makes funny faces and laughs awkwardly.
I don’t know if her quantity or quality is greater than average, so much as that she has two big problems that lead to her lying:
She thinks the rules don’t apply to her. But since she can’t say that in public, she just says things were allowed when they weren’t. Or in the case of her email, she declared it allowed even though she didn’t have the authority to do that. In fact, she never sought approval for her system and it would not have been granted had she sought it, according to the State IG report.
She has to run on Bill’s record and with Bernie Sanders as an opponent that wasn’t going to work for her, so she had to make promises she won’t keep.
Which you can go back to videos from when Bill first began campaigning for his first term as POTUS and see that she has always had a slightly awkward style. She makes no bones about the fact that she is far more comfortable with doing the hard work of governing and policy than with the “showman” side of politics.
Trump is the opposite. All hat, no cattle. For the Trump team to question her mental capacity is the all time kettle-pot.
I judge people by their actions. She decides what’s allowed because she must feel she has that right, then she lies about it when it goes wrong.
She has had to repudiate a lot of the Clinton Presidency in order to fend off Sanders. and I’d note she gave major speeches on behalf of most of BIll’s initiatives, making her a supporter of those initiatives.
Much as this causes my emotions to get very mixed, Hillary reminds me of Richard Nixon. Nobody liked Nixon. People thought he was nakedly political, that he skirted too close to the line ethically. Most of all, they thought he was dishonest (remember “Tricky Dick”?) And all that was even before he ran for President!
But he got almost enough votes to be elected once, just enough to actually be elected another time, and a landslide of votes the third time.
Which all goes to show there’s a surprising number of Americans who are willing to vote for the lesser of two evils.
Legend has it that LBJ, in one of his early congressional campaigns, told one of his aides to spread the story that Johnson’s opponent fucked pigs. The aide responded “Christ, Lyndon, we can’t call the guy a pigfucker. It isn’t true.” To which LBJ supposedly replied “Of course it ain’t true, but I want to make the son-of-a-bitch deny it.”
