Do you not see what I was clearly replying to? “We live in amazing and inspiring times.” Of course the commercial wasn’t inspiring. It’s a fucking attack ad. Did you not see the stuff you snipped out? “Him saying it” is exactly what I meant by “pre fact checked”. So if you didn’t get my point, I’m pretty sure it’s your problem.
The latest, greatest, thing of the moment.
Here we go again.
Wired has an article about how Hillary used the debate to drive over 2 million people, 2.5% of the TV audience, to her website to fact-check Trump in real-time.
I’m Elendil’s Heir, and I approve of that attack ad.
Wow.
Indeed. I’ve been using the word “unprecedented” a lot this election - anyone got any good synonyms?
There was also an interview with her on Spanish language television today.
A Facebook trending story on my wall said Michael Moore said that Trump “won” the debate. I didn’t want to click; anyone know WTF he’s talking about?
Moore thinks Hillary was too classy and didn’t really go for the kill. He also thinks, and I quote, “Pro-Hillary gloaters doing end-zone dance again when still on 50-yd line. U MUST get it in your head TRUMP IS GONNA WIN and act accordingly!”
I think he’s just trying to keep Democrats motivated. He’s worried that Trump’s fan club won’t care about his lousy performance and all around lousiness. But it’s on Moore’s Twitter so you can draw your on conclusions:
Moore is just a pessimist. He’s one of those guys who has always been in the camp of, “My party is too civilized and moderate, they should be more aggressive and more ideological!” that exists in both parties.
Except that one party’s such faction gave up and lost years ago.
Simmer down… <backs away slowly> No need to attack me. And frankly, no, I didn’t see what you were *clearly *saying. To be clear you have to be…well, clear.
If this was an attack ad, it was a case of the dog biting his own tail.
Place a nice but easily washable doily on the counter when you open your can of whoop-ass. And that’s a good thing!
There’s no doubt it’s an attack ad. Hillary’s campaign is hardly the first to feature attack ads using an opponent’s own words against them. This may be the first where the opponent provides so much ammo, all on tape, that they can make four or five different ones each with its own theme.
I think the Hillary daughters ad deserves high praise. I don’t see how anyone who hears Trump saying those things would vote for him. He also hired Roger Ailes. He’s a sick monster and I can’t believe he is this close to the white house.
This ad is also really effective, I hope it is running in Florida. http://www.adweek.com/news/advertising-branding/hillary-clinton-releases-powerful-new-ad-former-miss-universe-alicia-machado-173736
The Arizona Republic newspaper has endorsed Sec. Clinton.
I wonder if Sheriff Joe will cancel his subscription.
I don’t know how much weight newspaper endorsements carry, but that Arizona Republic editorial is scathing. Damn. Among the long list of Trump’s flaws and sins, the one that stuck out to me was, “stunning lack of human decency”. It’s true, of course. I just continue to be flabbergasted that we’re having an election where major newspapers criticize on candidate not so much for his policies – 'cuz he barely has any – but for being a terrible, terrible human being.
And I continue to be flabbergasted, frightened, and depressed that he has a pretty good shot at winning. I’ve been too upset to follow the election the past few weeks. Every time I see a headline about Trump gaining ground on Clinton, I just think, what kind of country is this?
The debate cheered me a little. It sounds like the media narrative is pretty much that Trump imploded after a decent start. Hopefully his numbers will tank now. But who the hell knows? I don’t understand politics anymore.
So we can expect more “attack” ads? Works for me.
Oh, it “works” for “you” does it? That’s “nice”.
