Hillary's tweet about Chris Christie

You seem to be missing the irony here.

The infamous lane closure at the GW bridge was a Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) operation. PANYNJ employees ordered the lanes to be reassigned, and then kept the reassignments in place for a week until another PANYNJ employee restored order.

There has been no finding of wrongdoing on Christie’s part but the Democrat party, media outlets, and the internet can’t stop beating a dead horse. Oh well, everyone needs a hobby even if it’s self-destructive to their own credibility.

The Bridgeghazi hearings that will consume the next two years in the Republican-controlled House will get to the bottom of what Clinton knew about this tweet, when she knew it, and if the tweet was actually in reaction to this inflammatory video as her possibly-Muslim senior aides allege, or if there’s more going on here than meets the eye.

“That’s a nice commute they got there. Be a shame if something happened to it.”

Maybe this is the beginning of a new suffix. Like how all political scandals now end in “gate” in reference to Watergate. Trumped up scandals that the other party just keeps investigating to try to make political hay out of can end in “ghazi”.

Gross. Her pokemon-go-to-the-polls was honestly the most cringeworthy thing I have witnessed in my entire life. Second is her telling trump to delete his twitter account. The woman can pander with the best of them but she rarely looks or sounds comfortable doing it.

I don’t think she would be a poor president though. This is coming from a registered Republican.

As to the OP, as stated, obviously it is both.

The name of the party is the Democratic Party. Some people struggle remembering that.

What makes you think I don’t see it? Of course it’s ironic that ole’ Lyin’ Hillary would tweet about another politician being dishonest.

All politicians lie, all people lie. The current candidates are both demagogues, one is just more upfront about it.

??? It’s clearly a reference to both. Were it not for the GWB scandal, there’s no way she would use that tired turn-of-phrase. What makes it clever and amusing is that it takes an old cliche and references a recent scandal. I suppose you can argue whether that makes it a primary or secondary meaning, but to me it seems obvious that the phrase was chosen to poke at the GWB scandal.

And you’re saying that she should learn something from Chris Christie’s ethics?

Quoted for truth. When multiple investigations uncover no evidence of wrongdoing, it would be foolish to keep insisting on more information just because you’re sure there’s something there.

Obviously Hillary’s tweet was a reference to the proposed Gravina Island Bridge, known as the “Bridge to Nowhere” during the 2008 presidential campaign. Duh.

The irony, it burns!

Do you think doorstop even noticed?

No snark intended, but do you see the irony of Christie lecturing Clinton about ethics?

That is actually just fucking hilarious, like some sort of performance art!

Is that not, like, the very point of the tweet in the first place?

Is there some meta joke I’m missing in this thread? Because there is a real disconnect apparent in some of the posts that just beggars belief.

Hahahaha. It was Democrat Party/Lame stream Media Outlet performance art that continued ad nauseam for months. I still get a chuckle out of the DNC’s failure to convict (or tell the truth) every time someone rehashes the Bridgegate debacle.

ol’ Hillary’s attempt to cast doubt on anyone else’s credibility is equally hilarious.

In the Bridgegate trial, about a dozen people were named as unindicted co-conspirators. That list has been kept secret so far. Judge recently ordered the names of the unindicted to be released. The matter was appealed. The next trial is some months off.

So the chips have not quite all hit the floor yet. Which doesn’t mean that one of those chips is Christie. It may well not be. But we don’t know yet.

I think you’re well aware that changing someone’s username in a mocking manner is against the rules. Don’t do this again.
