hindu name suffix -bo

From what I have read people of the Hindu religion take
on a Hindu name, often which has the suffix -bo (that is
name-bo, where name is some name). What does this suffix
mean, if anything, and is it in any way related to the
fact that Buddha is said to have sat under a Bo Tree when
achieving spiritual enlightenment?

Was a Hindu had a dog and Bingbo was his name-bo!

[sub]I’m going to be reincarnated as a underwear yeast for that one. I’m so sorry. I tried to stop myself. Really.[/sub]

No. Hindus have nothing to do with Buddhism. Besides “Bo Tree” is the English name, not the Hindi name.

I don’t know what the meaning is. I’ll ask a Hindu friend next time I see him, but it isn’t because of Buddha.

Oops. Replace the word Hindu with Buddhist in the title
and OP. (Perhaps a moderator would be kind enough to do
that, or just do so in your imagination.) Forgive (and
fight) my ignorance.

AFAIK, bo means “priest of” or “priestly residence”.
