So, isn’t Douglas Adams dead?

I’ve just been listening to the Hitchhiker’s Guide To The Galaxy - Tertiary Phase episodes. This is the new BBC radio series, picking up where the old one left off all those years ago.

So far, I like it.

But one thing confuses me. In the credits, it says that Douglas Adams plays the role of Agrajag. He’s even in the cast list.

So what’s the scoop? How did he record his role from beyond the grave?

He didn’t. He recorded it ten or fifteen years ago, for the talking book of Life, The Universe and Everything.

For a while there, I had visions of some sort of Andy Kaufman thing happening…
