I just got finished pounding down a St. Pauli Girl 24 ouncer when I noticed that the man on one of the seals (left side of the label; second seal down) looks just like Adolf Hitler. I know that those seals are supposed to be historical, but I thought that the Germans were touchy as hell about their Nazi past. Is that a pic of the single-balled impotent Austrian corporal with a stupid haircut, or am I seeing things?
As far as I know, St. Pauli Girl is marketed as a German beer, but for the life of me, I cannot find it over here in Germany. I have even asked several Germans if they have heard of the beer, and they said NO and laughed at the name.
Sorry I cannot answer your question about Hitler being on the seal…but if he is, that sure explains why I cannot find the beer here!
I’ve been prowling around on their website and I don’t see a picture of Adolf Hitler anywhere. The beer label they picture has the girl on it.
This would seem to predate Hitler.
Maybe, Beego, you just didn’t ask the right people.
Yeah, I ended up at their poster gallery too.
