Brazil nuts too!
The detailed ordering depends on my mood, but my list is something like this:
Almonds/Cashews/Brazils
Pecans/Walnuts
Pistachios/Macadamias
Peanuts
(Of course peanut butter is way up there, but that’s a different list.)
Pistachios.
That’s it. End of conversation.
Peanuts are different and cashews are good, but it’s pistachios all the way.
I don’t hate macadamia nuts, but I would never pay as much as they cost.
Almonds, peanuts, cashews and pecans are all fine. Walnuts taste good, but they make ny mouth itch.
But the pistachio is where its at. I can eat them by the bucket load.
By the way, does anyone sell pistachio ice cream any more. I went out looking for some the other day and after three stores came back empty handed.
They rest in the middle for me. They are over rated, and the extra price of $16 a pound or higher is not worth buying them. My favorite is the cashew. My most hated common nut in mixed nuts I wish would get left out is the stinken Brazil nut. Yuck.
I love them in cookies. White Chocolate Chip Macadamia in particular.
I don’t care for macadamia nuts at all; to me they have about the same amount of taste & appeal as a crunchy lump of salted butter.
Yuck.
I like Macadamias. Especially when found in a white chocolate macadamia cookie. Mmmm.
They definutely (heh, typo, but I’m keeping it) have a different texture – more on the order of a Brazil nut, but still very tasty indeed. They’re in my top 3 favourite nuts, the other two of which are pistachios and cashews. My own list of most-to-least favourite nuts would have to be:
Pistachio
Macadamia
Cashew
Walnut
Pecan
Almond (roasted hickory!)
Peanut
Brazil
Hazel
Pine
I should point out that the likability factor drops drastically after the humble peanut – I like peanuts, but I can’t stand the last three in that list.
Word. Macadamia nuts are always mealy-feeling and tasting.
Ben and Jerry’s does a darn good pistachio! 
Funny, Brazils are one my favorites. Filberts, too! Peanuts, eh.
