Interesting. I had exactly the opposite reaction. It tasted more peanut-y and more chocolate-y to me than the original, and I literally had them side-by-side. I mean, it’s all subjective in the end, but I find it odd that people think the new version tastes stale compared to the old. Literally opposite for me. I guess if you eat these bars frequently, you are probably not going to like any change. Butterfingers were one of my 5 favorite candy bars, but I rarely ate them more than twice a year, so perhaps I’m not as married to the old flavor.
that’s what i thought when i tried one a while back…and it didn’t stick to my teeth which was disappointing … it just tasted bland… like anything that’s “all-natural” (especially 7-up and Canada dry ginger ale)
I’ll cast my vote for, “Hated it.”
Pisses me off. If I could get a 5th Avenue or Clark bar around here, I’d be OK with it, but it’s Butterfinger or nothing.
Tastes a bit bitter to me.
Weird I had a couple fun size bars from Halloween and didn’t notice a change. Same flaky messy chocolate, did those get updated yet?
I bought a bag of them for Halloween, I thought they were still pretty good. It seemed like they had a little more “snap” vs “crumble” when you bite into them, but I can’t say I noticed much difference in the taste.
