Pay no attention. milroyj does this every time he gets mod-slapped. He goes silent for a few days, and when he comes up for air, he spends his time dashing around, pointing at other posters, trying to create the impression that they’re violating board rules. “Look at what Poster X just said! Oh, he’s going to get in trouble for that! I’d better point out just how serious Poster X’s bad behavior is!!!”
It never works, but he’s stunningly consistent in his inability to learn from experience.
As a non-American I am totally fed up with not only Bush bashing threads but the whole political debate. I mean how many times can the same people say the same thing and still hold our attention?
I’d like to second the suggestion for a totally separate forum for politics. Geez how far away are the elections?
This coming from the guy who claims those who disagree with him “lack reading comprehension”.
Wow, you’re already doing it again. Any time anyone disagrees with you, you imply that they are an idiot who doesn’t know how to read. And then you call me “hostile”. Hilarious.
If you only ventured into a few threads, then you cannot possibly make a judgment as to what evidence other threads may or may not lack.
First, that’s not what you said. Second, the point you’re making now goes without saying. OF COURSE it’s not nice to call people stupid or evil just because they disagree with you. It’s not nice when the Clinton-bashers or Kerry-bashers do it either. So what’s your point? Are you complaining that there are too many Bush threads, or are you complaining that some people are rude in some threads? Because it’s hardly news that sometimes, some people are rude.
The crux of the argument we are having is that you implied a dichotomy wherein the abundance of Bush threads means either this board is overly left-leaning, or that people who don’t like Bush are more “rabid”. But you left out the 3rd possibility that there are more Bush threads because Bush has done more things wrong to warrant more threads being started about him.
Over in Cafe Society, I bet there are more threads decrying the evilness of Darth Vader than there are decrying the evilness of Luke Skywalker. Does that imply that Empire-supporters are more restrained and less rude than Rebel-supporters? No, it just means Darth Vader is an asshole.
Well no, you can’t read top secret documents online, but other than that, what’s your point?
Might I remind the OPer that, in the words of his Great Misleader, we’re ‘either with him or against him’, and if against him, we should ‘bring it on!’
