I can do you one better - in just over an hour and a half, I’ll bet FREE - and flying to Florida. Top that!

Susan

Some of us are already here.
Just don’t forget to pack “the outfit” so we’ll recognize you.

Congrats, VunderBob! <flinging confetti with wild and reckless abandon> - that’s almost as cool as being a real Purdue graduate!!! :D:D:D

TGIF! And tomorrow is the Baltimore MuseumDope, which should be all cultural and stuff. I am very excited! But not exciting. No leather (except for my shoes) or fishnets or cleavage or come-ither looks or any of that slutty stuff. But if you’re into the wholesome June Cleaver in her later years look, I’m here for ya!
<crickets>
That’s what I thought…

But, FCM, our love for you is pure and wholesome. Isn’t that better than the kind of love you find in stilletto heels and nipple clamps in a dungeon someplace?

Ouch - most definitely better… definitely…

ouch…

Sure, it’s not exactly wholesome, but what kind of love could possibly be more pure than that?

Ya know, Shibb, you seemed so, um, normal at the picnic…

Is it getting warm in here, or is it just me?

I think its getting rather warm for many of us who have been following this thread rather closely. Don’t mind us, we’re just here to observe. Ignore the camera and video equipment. We want to see you act completely natural.

Well, it’s late in the day, and most MMPoster’s are probably done with the thread for this week, but I have to let everyone know that I finally got my Easter candy–Albertson’s came through for me. So all hail Albert, his sons and daughters; the provider of pastel-colored, candy-coated chocolate Easter eggs to the world! (Well, me, at least.)

Still sending out good thoughts for those of you with family needing good thoughts, even if I forgot to specifically post my intentions.

Congrats to VuderBob! (who actually wants to be VunderBod, 'cuz that’s what my fingers type when I type his name).

I’m not going anywhere this weekend. I’m not doing anything this weekend. I’m listening to the radio and cuddling with KaliAllieCat and nobody can make me do nutin’ else. Well, I may go see Elecktra, 'cuz it’s at the cheap theatre that serves beer and it seems like a movie that will be better with beer. And it’s sunny right now so if it’s sunny this weekend I may go for a hike, but only because I want to and not because it’s good for me. I would play Monopoly this weekend if i had someone to play with–I got a vintage Monopoly game for Christmas and it has wooden houses and hotels. I’m having steak and a baked potato for dinner and not even gonna pretend that I’ll be cooking another vegetable, and I may just get myself a bottle of Downtown Brown Ale to drink with dinner. Or Mike’s Limeade–love that limeade. Does it feel to you like I’m killing time until it’s 5 o’clock and I can leave without feeling like I’m leaving early, even though I am because I start later in the morning, but I don’t care?

I am happy to see that you have finally accomplished your quest and found the coveted Easter candy!

I would like to stay home and just do nuttin’, but the daughter has a solo/ensemble competition tomorrow, so that will take up most of the day. Oh well, I’m proud of her perseverence and this is a small price to pay. She started playing the clarinet in 5th grade and is currently in the 9th grade. I’ve never had to ride her particularly hard to practice or to take care of her instrument properly either. She’s a good girl and I’m a damn lucky mother.

I’m not having steak, although that does sound good. Nope, I’m taking the easy way out and making a Stouffer’s Chicken Lasagne. The hubby isn’t home yet and I’m not quite sure when I should put it in the oven. He left for work at 4:00 this morning and it’s currently almost 5:30 p.m. I haven’t heard from him, and being the worry wart that I am, I’m wondering what the hell is going on. He’s usually home by around 2:00 p.m, 3:00 at the latest.

Yay VunderBob for the diploma and Kallessa for the successful candy purchase! (OK…not quite the same level of importance, but both happy occasions…)

I’m just hanging around home tonight. My brother called to find out how to say “butt” in Spanish. (His kids wanted to know…) Of course, the only word that came to mind was NOT the one that we were about to teach them. Looked in the dictionary, looked online, nothing. Came up with German instead (which amused them) and only remembered words kids are allowed to say AFTER we hung up…

Also got a call from one of my best friends who is now officially engaged and getting married late summer.

Pretty amusing and cheering in all.

Now I’m going back to my book.

Happy weekend!

Yay, Bob!

Mr. Lissar’s godfather (the one who had lung cancer and extreme back surgery, for those of you who remember these things) and I drank 1 1/2 of the two bottles of wine. I feel all funny and tilty.

Mr. Lissar is feeling funny, too, but we’re worried that it’s the flu I had a couple weeks ago, so he’s just taken a lot of vitamin c and aspirin and I’m putting him to bed. The cats are assisting by zooming around really fast.

Happy weekend!

I’m bumping this thread on Sunday because I don’t know what state my old/new cube will be in when I get to work tomorrow and I wanted to thank all of you for your good thoughts about grampy. Did I say that they did find he had pneumonia? Well, once they started him on some antibiotics, he started to perk up and he’s doing much much better. He’s eating solid foods and they’ve had him up walking since yesterday. He’s a tough old bird. Now, we just have to get him out of the hospital from hell.

Oh, and I found out that my cube isn’t being moved waaaaaaaaaay across the building. Oh, no, I’m just moving TWO CUBES AWAY! WTF?

Anyway, I’ll get to the MMP tomorrow as soon as I can.

Congrats, bob! That’s a tremendous accomplishment!

And lastly…XOXOXOXOXO (That’s a big smooch to alla ya for being so nice.)

Tupug, glad to hear grampy is doing better. Prayers and good thoughts still headed your way.
