I had some boils on my arm a couple of weeks ago, so I saw my doctor about them and she gave me antibiotics. Last Thursday, I had a followup appointment. The boils had not responded well to the drugs and had gotten nastier. The doctor popped me in the hospital right then and there, and I just got out of there this evening. The boils are much better now, and we hope to have them completely cleared up soon.
I missed y’all. I missed my cat. I missed my daughter and husband. Most of all, I missed being able to walk around without dragging an IV pole with me.
I’ve got a PICC (peripherally inserted central catheter) still in me, and I’ll get more antibiotics by IV as an outpatient. I don’t like this thing, but it’s preferable to the usual IV catheter.
It’s GOOD to be home. It’s GOOD to have internet access. It’s GOOD to sleep in my own bed (I had a little nap before posting this). It’s GOOD to be able to choose food that’s NOT on a hospital menu. It’s GOOD to have a room with a locking door. It’s especially GOOD to not be awakened for medical procedures!
I saw your name at the top of this forum, and I was hoping this was what it is. Welcome back, Lynn Bodoni. May you enjoy good food, good, uninterupted sleep, and good cats!
Let the trolls and sock cower in fear! She’s ba-ack!
Hey, I only wished you good cats; I didn’t speculate on the likelihood of it actually happening. Consider it along the lines of wishing for world peace.
It’s GOOD to have you back! Now get completely well and stay the hell away from doctors and hospitals for five or ten minutes, will ya? You’re getting on my nerves.
And don’t forget all the bandwidth taken up by the reports (some spurious) of your condition.
Not to mention all the stupid “glad to have you back” posts this will generate.
Psst. Glad to have you back, but you didn’t hear that from me!
Glad you’re feeling better!! And remember, that cat that is so PO’d right now is also guarding you as you sleep. I think kitty needs some tuna to coax her back.
