'Home Movies' on Cartoon Network

Recently CN began airing Home Movies 5 nights a week after Futurama. I know that Home Movies was originally done in Sqigglevision™ but they switched to Flash at some point.

Did they redo some of they original Sqiggle ones with Flash? Because the squiggle reruns they’re showing I seem to remember as being higher quality (i.e. Flash) when originally shown.

home movies switched from squigglevision to flash after the end of the first season (13 episodes, i think). none of the episodes were redone in flash, afaik.

Ahhh, I was wondering about that when they threw an older re-run into the mix. Is there any rationale for the squigglevision? Also, is there any particular reason everyone wears full body jumpers with matching gloves?

The squigglevision episodes make me miss Dr. Katz. :frowning:

IIRC, the squigglevision episodes were originally aired on another network. After the first season, the Cartoon Network picked it up and ordered more episodes, which they did in the other style. They also changed some of the cast. Mitch Hedburg, for instance, who is a great comedian, voiced several minor characters in the first season then disappeared.

That network, incidentally, was UPN.

Squigglevision was just a gimmick to me. I didn’t really like it, so it’s no big loss to me.
