Home repair / DIY message board recommendations?

I’m looking for recommendations for message boards like the SDMB, but which specialize in home repair topics. Something where the forums are (for example) “Wiring”, “Plumbing”, “Construction”, “Roofing”, and (of course) “The BBQ Pit.” :slight_smile:

I know I can ask questions on the SDMB and get great quality answers, but I’m looking for a place where I can browse through questions I haven’t even thought of yet.

vBulletin-powered boards and boards with similar functionality (as opposed to the “here’s a giant list of all the messages from the past month in chronological order”-style boards) are a plus.

This Old House forums have lots of good home improvement info.

The format of this website, www.thathomesite.com isn’t the same as the Straight Dope. However, it’s got great forums such as Kitchen and Bath remodelling, home repairs, etc. I think you’ll get a lot out of it. By the way, it’s a pay site. Lurking is free so just hang around and read the messages before you decide if that website is worth the money.
