I like having camera capability to watch for packages, see who’s at the door and for whatever deterrence they provide.
NextDoor seems to be full of posts with videos of property crimes and plaintive queries like “do you recognize this person breaking into my car?”. So 1) deterrence is limited for bold and/or masked thieves, and 2) a camera without good nighttime capability and resolution is limited in what it can capture. 1080p (2.1 MP) is not sharp at any distance, though OK for visitors to your door.
