Hypothetical question for everybody, but especially the pro choice crowd.
Some believe that homosexuality is genetic in nature; for the sake of this argument let’s assume it is. Suppose that at some point a test would be developed that could test in utero whether or not the fetus will grow up to be homosexual. Would you support a law that would prevent a parent from aborting the baby because it tests positive?
No. I would disagree with their decision, but it is their decision to make. Not mine, not the lawmakers’, not anyone else’s.
There was a similar poll on the question of abortion to select the sex of the baby.
The majority view was that it should remain legal…but is a rotten thing to do, and should be discouraged.
I’d guess the same answer will come out here. Yes, it should be legal…but, no, anybody who does this is a stupid bigoted stinker, and I won’t invite him to my house for dinner.

The more interesting question is what I would think about a pharmacological means to affect sexual orientation in utero, without killing the baby. I’m not sure what I would think about that.
No; it should be legal. Its not my body and its not my decision. But I don’t know that I would want that person as a friend.
No. I am incredibly unsentimental about fetuses*. There’s more where that came from. We have more than enough people already on the planet. I will reserve the right to think you’re an asshole for aborting for such a reason, and our friendship is probably over, but I will defend your right to do it. Bodily autonomy is more important than what I think.
*Which is not to be confused with having little sympathy for miscarriages. I do have lots of sympathy for the loss of a wanted fetus, and wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy. But my sympathy is for the pain of the parents.

Back in the 80’s, when the idea of “gay by genetic code” first came along, it got a bunch of traction in the (SF) gay community.
Then someone pointed out that if it were true, and a in utero test could be developed, there would be a lot fewer gays as women aborted their “gay babies”.
The theory was quickly dropped.
Yes, it would happen, and no, you couldn’t prove motive, and even if you could, you cannpt morally force a woman to have a child she doesn’t want. Rape babies, anyone?

If it’s a homosexual couple couple for a homosexual child and the tests say the kid is straight, should they be allowed to abort?
My view is there is a point up to which the pregnant person should be allowed to abort for whatever reason she feels like. Once the pregnancy passes a certain point, (eg 20 weeks) that option is no longer available without certified medical support.
No because abortion in general shouldn’t be legal although this definitely is going to be huge especially in Asiatic countries.

Grin! Quite true. However, there are a great many HIMs involved in passing laws such as the one the OP asked about.
The way I read the question, we are being asked if it should be made illegal to use abortion as a means of selecting for sexual orientation. If you actually believe that most abortions should be illegal then you should be voting “yes.”
Your comment seems to suggest that you voted “no.”
Your poll feature asks the opposite question as your OP. Accordingly, the veracity of your poll results are going to be compromised.
As for the greater question, it doesn’t make any difference as to why a parent wants an abortion, the result is the same.
Her uterus, her rules, however odious they are. Taking women’s bodies to use for some social cause, however noble it is, is pretty terrible.
And anyways, whatever problems this hypothetical technology would cause, I’m not sure that making people have gay kids would be a helpful solution in any way. The consequences of being raised in an anti-gay household can be pretty severe. Violence, fake therapy, homelessness, suicide, etc.
