IMHO, the modern concept of gay or straight is incorrect, it’s more like shades of bisexuality.
Could not you give out surveys simply asking, on a scale of 1 to 100, how gay or straight are you, totaly straight being 1 and totally gay being 100. Go back and ask that person’s parents the same thing. Do a LSRL on the data, if you get a positive correlation, it illustrates a link.
You could do the same study with adopted people and their biological parents and get evidence for a genetic causation.
