I’ve run into this sort of “argument” countless times before. Usually, the proponent of the argument seems to believe that if he/she can make a logical argument for the illogic of homosexuality, somehow poof! all of the gay people will suddenly go away. It’s nothing more than homophobia wrapped in a veneer of twisted logic. The only follow-up they can possibly come up with is that “gay people should not exist!” But we do. And that just twists their minds into uncomfortable shapes.
JOhn.
The answer, of coure, is ‘no’, since homosexual behavior of some fraction of the population seems to a be consistent feature in numerous species, and occurs repeatedly despite (one presumes) a lower rate of reproduction for homosexuals.
Although probably a hijack, I’m also curious about this part of the OP’s argument:
From this, I assume the OP would agree that the most natural course would be for the population to reproduce to the point where available resources could no longer support it, and therefore crash, and that no attempt whatever should be made to prevent such a thing from happening. After all, this is what happens regularly in the populations of many speces. Is my intepretation correct?
No.
We are not going to wait for periodic, simplistic answers from the OP without a seriously developed argument while everyone else flails around trying to create something to debate.
