I think a lot of the nastiness is the result of him being so deeply in denial. I suspect if he just would *acknowledge *his attraction to men, a lot of ugly hatred would evaporate.
I know he’s trying to be offensive and insulting, but to me it just sounds like a desperate cry for help.
I think what it comes down to is that homosexuality is more or less harmless. You’ve got a situation where a small percentage of the population, through some quirk of brain chemistry, find themselves attracted to people of their gender instead of the opposite gender. I don’t see how it contributes to corruption, death, or war, and you haven’t done a very good job of explaining those connections, so far. You have mentioned Ted Turner, who, as has been pointed out, is not gay, has been married several times, most recently to Jane Fonda, and has multiple kids.
