Binky Patrol (Weird Earl’s Oct. 7)
OK, so these people have a simplistic solution to the woes of the world - but are they wrong?
Personally, my binky is red and very soft, and there’s nothing so nice as snuggling up by the fire with a book and my binky on a cold and rainy winter’s evening.
Go Binky Patrol!
it is a cool idea.
i think of the films i see of people who are in night clothes at 2 am watching their home burn. a binky would be perfect!
so many situations… so few binkys.
My very own mother makes binkys with her ladies’ group at church. I think it’s a nice thing. Sure, she’s not saving the world, but some scared kid will have a pretty, warm blanket to hug on a lousy night. I know I’d appreciate it, and I’m not even a kid.
Weird. <looks at pictures> Oh. Those are quilts(and a couple look like afgans and comforters, I guess). Does “binky” just mean a baby’s pacifier to anyone else? I guess those would be even stranger to be handing out to people…
“Binky” means pacifier to me, too. Although it comes out “gink” when the two-year-old says it. Here I was imagining Rutabegger sucking on a pacifier, and I was thinking, well, whatever gets you through, you know?
Blankie. Now blankie I would have understood.
