This might be TMI, but any time I have taken a large dose of caffeine or ephedrine I get extremely horny. I have never heard of caffeine as an aphrodisiac though. Is there a explanation for this?
Caffeine’s aphrodisiac properties have been noted for as long as people have been drinking tea and coffee. In the 17th century, the church condemned coffee (and chocolate) because it encouraged libidinous behaviour.
Caffeine has been well documented, more recently, as a sexual stimulant, and has even been shown to be helpful with some types of impotence.
