Quick update: It is presumed that a robot has delivered a phone for further communication with the hostage taker.
Any Dopers in Miami might want to know a number of the area schools are under lockdown.
CNN confirms delivery was Cellphone. Apparently another man, Reverand Marc Cooper stopped at a stoplight next to the truck and passed his cellphone to the driver (the woman postal worker). The battery died shortly thereafter, hence the new cellphone.
The robot dropped it right outside the truck’s window, though…
CNN also reported that TWO men approached the truck, but only one got in. Apparently they are already questioning the other man.
They’re keeping on it on FoxNews. My prayers are with the hostage.
It’s over, hostage is safe. Ended peacefully. Anyone know about the motives etc?
