Hot Gay Action on "The Simpsons!"

Did anyone else find that kiss the most erotic gay moment on (non-cable) TV? Of course, it had to be on a cartoon show, heaven forbid “Will” should actually get a real live boyfriend . . .

Ummm… no I didn’t, but I did think Homer’s look was great! Then later when Marge kisses him he thinks “this is the best kiss I’ve gotten all day… or is it?”

Over all this was one of the best Simpsons I have seen in a long time, I was laughing the whole time. I especially liked One Night Stan’s.

[Homer running away]I’ll only end up hurting you![/HRA]

While the episode got off to a slow start, the second half was a riot. “or is it?” Instant classic joke.

IMHO: some of the Willow-Tara moments on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Never saw Buffy, but I’m assuming Willow and Tara are girls? Lesbian action is alright, but TV never shows two men kissing. Unless they’re cartoons.

I swear I saw a show where 2 men kissed.
Am I imagining it?

The scene at breakfast was hillarious!

[Homer] He’s made us a wonderful breakfast and all you’re doin’ is riding his ass, and NOT in a good way![/Homer]

Well, Jack and Will did kiss while they were protesting the censorship of males kissing on TV in an early episode of Will & Grace.

“Lisa, if i was an eight year old straight boy, I would *so[/] be holding your hand right now.”

The show was definately fun.

Two guys kissed on an ep of Dawson’s Creek.
Two guys kissed on an ep of Melrose Place but it was shown only from the back.
Last night was one of the few male/male romantic kisses ever on network TV. Others include Smithers planting one on Mr Burns but IIRC that was a Halloween ep so it doesn’t count. Homer was of course also kissed by his assistant Carl waaay back in the “Dimoxinyl” episode.

I liked the ep, despite the savaging of continuity it represented. I did like how it resolved the “Homer is intrigued/Homer is homophobic” tension from earlier episodes by showing us that Homer is both intrigued and homophobic!

Loved “Alternative Knifestyles” and “Armistead’s Mopeds.”

And the first man-on-man kiss on TV was on Thirtysomething back in 88/89.

IMO, The Simpsons has done the “Homer Goes Gay/homophobic” too many times, although last night’s ep was pretty funny.

Good thing I taped it or I would have missed the five minutes following this quote due to excessive laughter:

[homer]Puzzle piece, come out and play-ay[/homer]

Wasn’t this only the second time? The only other episode I can think of is the one with John. What are the other ones?

There was a very early episode where Homer’s assistant, Karl (not Carl), kissed Homer on the mouth. Homer was taken aback, but it wasn’t a big deal. There have been numerous episodes where Homer has commented on another man’s attractiveness. (I think he referred to Lisa’s vegan role model as “dreamy” in the tree-sitting episode.)

Oh yes, that was the funiest of them all! I was trying to remember exactly what he said, tx for posting!

Did you get This Life or Queer as folk over there in the USA?

Can somebody please explain the Mopeds sign?

Hank Azaria reprised his Agador (from The Birdcage) voice. I could listen to Hank do Agador all day.

“Did anyone else find that kiss the most erotic gay moment on (non-cable) TV?”

Armisted Maupin is a renowned gay author who wrote the “Tales of the City” newspaper column (later books, later three and counting mini-series). The sign is a pun on his name.

Not familiar with “This Life” but not only do we have the British QAF on video we have our own home-grown version. It airs on Showtime which is a pay cable station, and thus does not fall under Eve’s “(non-cable) TV” guideline.
