Let’s not forget Buddy Morgan (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) kissing Eric Forman (Topher Grace) on That 70s Show.
I laughed out loud at that line.
“You’re coming home with me!”
“Yes, colonel.”
Hehe. I love Moleman.
I believe that they are “heterosexual life partners” in the grand tradition of Cheech & Chong, Bill & Ted, Wayne & Garth, Jay and Silent Bob, Fred & Barney, etc.
Maybe. There was the episode where the Nuclear Plant does a togetherness retreat on a snowy mountain and L & C are teamed together in the hiking competition. One of them (iirc Carl) says, “Lenny and Carl. I like the sound of that.”
One of the best quasi-homosexual Homer moments was the “Summer of 4’2” " episode when the Simpsons stay at the Flanderseses beach house and Lisa sheds her dorkiness to find friends. The family is playing a “Life”-esque game (iirc called “Dream Dates”) and Homer gets the high school quarterback. He says something to the effect of “He’s so dreamy…”
Not on topic at all, but I forgot to reset the clock on my VCR last weekend and didn’t notice until I went to watch my taping of The Simpsons this afternoon. GRRRRRR, I got Malcolm (eh) and that crap The Pitts.
[Nelson] HA HA! [/Nelson]
That happened in the episode with the angel skeleton.
No, Carl says, “Lenny and Carl. I kinda like the sound of that.” He says this after Lenny picks him for basketball.
“It looks like you’re missing a piece from the puzzle there.”
“Well it looks like you’re missing a wife.”
“Well, I guess I walked right into that one.”
“Smithers, I must thank you for making my last moments on Earth socially awkward!”
Yeah, that’s right, he DID plant one on Topher Grace.
Mmmmmmm…Topher Grace…mmmmm
Two broadcast, two cable:
Dawson’s Creek
Oz
Queer as Folk
and yes, Will and Grace
Don’t forget Siskel & Ebert.
No, wait, that was that time I had the DT’s.
Never mind.
Umm, no. That was from the nuclear plant meltdown episode from season 2 or 3.
And in the mountain-race episode, when Lenny & Carl were chosen together, Lenny said, "Aw, nuts! Er, I mean…aw, nuts!" (I guess he & Carl were on the outs, hehe.)
And hasn’t anyone mentioned the episode where Homer kissed Ned Flanders full on the lips for giving him football tickets? (Carl: “What did he say? I dunno, something about being gay.”)
That line cracked me up, and I don’t quite know why.
And I loved this episode of the Simpsons.
Didn’t Cheers have Sam kissing another guy at one point? I never really watched it but I do remember that.
My wife and I watched this ep with our 11-year-old son. We didn’t appreciate having our kid have to watch men kissing each other. It felt kinda forced, like the writers had some kinda agenda or something.
The John Waters ep was a lot more fun.
. . . I repeat, “unless they are cartoons.”
Regarding the whole “Lenny and Carl” thing … wasn’t there an episode where Carl was married?
I remember Lenny talking to somebody about how he had been invited over to dinner by Carl anbd his wife and how he was nervous about it.
What happened with that? Am I crazy?
In the Simpsons episode where they went to the SuperBowl everyone is talking about what they are going to do with their Superbowl rings. Carl says he is going to give his to his wife because it was their anniversary that day.
Trion, the episode you are remembering is the one where Marge becomes the Listen Lady at church. Lenny goes to Marge for advice because he invited Carl over to dinner to meet his supermodel looking wife but admits to Marge he doesn’t even have a wife.
