Hot Gay Action on "The Simpsons!"

I think the key there is “daytime viewers”. Is this on a soap?

I’m surprised no one’s mentioned the Flaming Homer/Flaming Moe reference yet…

In the case of this episode, shouldn’t it be a “Flaming Maeux”?

So you’re OK with The Simpsons presenting gay men to your children as long as they’re completely sexless. Got it.

Not really sure how you got “it’ll be GOOD for ya!” out of a two second cartoon man kiss which ended with one of the two men fleeing in terror.

I don’t remember that, but I do remember an episode where the regulars were worried that Cheers was going to turn into a gay bar. After much hand-wringing, two men (not regulars, but still part of the “gang”) out themselves to Norm by kissing him, one on each cheek IIRC.

Sam did kiss a guy to settle a bet that he lost. The guy was a friend of his who smacked Sam in the face and then confirmed their tee time as he left the bar.

On the Simpsons when Lisa is elected President, she says “Yes, I am proud to be America’s first straight female President.” And someone mentions voting for Chastity Bono.

This Life is(was ?) a gay show on PBS.

Two men being affectionate with each other.

Yeah. Sounds like an agenda to me.

Gee. I love how most television and movies have the tone of: “watch this man and woman who might or might not be married to other people have soft core porn style sex to the latest music.”

Yeah. My retinas needed that kind of torture.

Ah. Therein lies the confusion. The title is In The Life. It’s a newsmagazine show so really doesn’t involve a lot of “hot gay action.”

Unless Otto and/or Mockingbird is whooshing me, I’m guessing that PBS might be showing the BBC show This Life about a bunch of young legal types living in London. If so, there’s a lot of people going at it hot and heavy in both male-male and male-female combinations over the course of the series. It’s not specifically a gay show, though.
