I thought it was hilarious. I didn’t like The Hangover at all, but I could watch HTTM over and over. John Cusak shouting “I HATE THIS DECADE!” was comedy gold.

It was great, Everyone kept saying it was just as good as The Hangover but I thought this was way better. I merely chuckled during The Hangover, I laughed out loud during Hot Tub Time Machine numerous times.

Everybody? Really? The three people in this thread saying it was as good or better are the first three I remember encountering.

The Hangover was hilarious. Hot Tub Time Machine was meh. It had a few funny moments, but I didn’t care for it.

This thread inspired me to watch it last night. I thought it was pretty meh.

The fact that it was 483404 degrees in my apartment so I was already feeling miserable, so I cranked up my AC to 3, so I couldn’t hear the dialog, so I turned on closed captioning, but I couldn’t read it anyway, probably did little to tickle my funny bone.

But the Miley Cyrus joke made me laugh out loud.

It hit all the nostalgic notes for me, and I enjoyed it. Given that, though, I never laughed out loud and I found it mostly predictable.

My review is the same: nostalgia (THIGH SLAPPING at “MY TWO DOLLARS”) plus over-the-top raunch somehow executed better than the Hangover. (Though the Hangover end credits edged this out maybe)
