Hot Tub Time Machine.

WAs this movie good or what?

No seriously, I’m asking.

I ordered this the other night. I’ll be honest, at the time I had quaffed way more beers than I should have. All I remember about this movie is that it made me laugh a lot. I mean A LOT!

So now I don’t know if it was the beer talking or was this really a funny movie? Or both?

It was pretty funny, though quite predictable. Not a masterpiece, by any means, but well worth the ticket price.

It was exactly what I expected it to be, which was stupid, mindless fun. I don’t regret paying to see it in the theater, but I never plan to watch it again.

I thoroughly enjoyed it. I’d watch it again if it came on TV and I had nothing else to do, but I probably wouldn’t pay to rent it.

I haven’t seen it, but was surprised to read it got good to decent reviews from a lot of movie critics. Didn’t run to the theaters, but figured I would make it a point to see it when it hits the cable channels.

I watched it last night and enjoyed it.

Saw it at the $1 theater. It was hilarious, but it was what it was - a throwaway comedy that doesn’t make you think, just makes you crack up. Definitely have to be in the right move for it. I’d never see it again, but I’m very glad I saw it.

I saw it with a couple beers in me too, which I think is the best way to see it.

It was great, Everyone kept saying it was just as good as The Hangover but I thought this was way better. I merely chuckled during The Hangover, I laughed out loud during Hot Tub Time Machine numerous times.

My daughter is not quite old enough to drive, so I’ve been taking her to the mall with a friend so they can shop. I have nothing else to do, so I go to a movie.

I saw Hot Tub Time Machine. I liked it. It is not “My Dinner with Andre.” I am not Roger Ebert. Draw your own conclusions.

i didn’t find it especially funny, but i didn’t like the hangover either. i thought both lacked originality both in overall premise, or specific jokes.

I’m 40 and graduated in 88’ so it hit all the right nostalgic notes with me. While it still may be funny for younger audiences I don’t know if they’d appreciate the middle aged guy going back to the 80s theme as much as I did.

You know, I liked it a lot better than the Hangover too. Expectations may have played a part in that though.

It hit all the nostalgic notes for me, and I enjoyed it. Given that, though, I never laughed out loud and I found it mostly predictable.

Ditto, age and all. I just saw this movie On Demand.

I also enjoyed the inside jokes to 80’s stuff that were surely there for people of my age. (Like the James Brown hot tub SNL sketch, the Better Off Dead “Two dollars” reference, the Karate Kid “Put him in a body bag, yeah!” line, the Red Dawn truck, and of course Crispin Glover)

Predictable? This was about the most unpredictable movie I have seen in my life.

I went to see it in the theatre. The trailers ran for way too long, and they were all for action movies. And a lot of the trailers were in 3D. Why the hell would they do that for a non-3D movie? But at last the movie started, and the narrator started talking about ancient times. Cool, I thought, he’s going to explain how the time machine came to be.

But something was weird with the picture. It was, like, fuzzy or something. And no one was complaining about it! What, were these people blind? I looked around, and as it turns out, they were all wearing sunglasses, so I guess they were.

But anyway, the part where Persius was fighting the giant scorpions was freakin’ awesome.

Are there any boobies in it? If so, I may have to get it on PPV.

Yes.

Lame. They could have done so much more with the material (I’m serious). If Crispin Glover is the funniest part of your movie… not a great sign.
