That would be the balance of power held by the even more left wing party, that, by the way, just won on the provincial level in Manitoba, a western province? Yes, that one.
Why isn’t “looking for safety” considered a lofty goal?
It seems to me that the US government (at least lately) is not the one to protest against if you’re worried about nuclear war. Under Obama we got a good Iran deal, and under Biden, we have strong sane leadership. During the time in between, we had bigger issues.
Social media is still full of people nattering on about ooga booga the scary nuclear war is upon us. It’s just that there’s been a dramatic political realignment in the past decade or so. Russia now owns the “Party of Reagan”, who has done a full pivot from “tear down this wall” to “don’t poke the big scary bear.”
I’m not sure what the point of this thread is, and frankly, it seems better suited for the Pit. I’m closing it in P&E. @JBGUSA, you can let me know if you want it reopened in the Pit.
As opposed to the guy who thinks windmills give whales depression, that Obama is the current president, that Jeb Bush started the Iraq war, that Democrats are going to start World War 2, that fly paper is illegal, that you need ID to buy bread, and that Hannibal Lecter is a real person who endorsed his campaign?
It’s from being copied and pasted from elsewhere. It’s been a while since we’ve received one of these missives, but in the past, we were not the only board to get them.
Based on the formatting elsewhere, it seems this one was meant to have two numbered lists instead of those weird boxes. I suppose the full splendor is just something we lost with the transition away from vBulletin.
Me? Nothin’. Just sittin’ here with some Jamaican rum (avec les dead goat heads). But I wanted to post something here while it’s still open, just so I can be a part of history.
Thanks. I Googled a bit of the OP and yes, the same thing is posted elsewhere, though on other boards, it’s better formatted. I thought that the moderators discouraged that sort of thing; posting the same text across multiple message boards.
