Hotmail – can’t turn rich text Off!!!

Hi

I sometimes use Hotmail and usually just in normal mode.

A couple of days ago decided to send a fancy mail to a personal friend so used the Rich Text option.

OK so far but now I can’t turn the option off.

Tried Tools Turn off Rich Text and a message appears “error has occurred click HERE to solve the problem. I click HERE and the screen reloads with the same message again. Click HERE and same message again.

Anybody please help before do something desperate.

When I tried to turn it off a little popup window came up to ask if I was sure. You may be blocking popups. Hold down the CTRL key while you are choosing “Rich Text Editor OFF” to see if that helps.

Or if that doesn’t work, See if you can find and delete your Hotmail cookies.

First, make sure you know your Hotmail username and password so you can log back in. Close your browser.

Then, go to C:\Documents and Settings<yourcomputerusername>\Cookies (this is assuming you have Windows XP and are using Internet Explorer)

Look for files named <yourcomputerusername>@msn, @passport and @hotmail.msn. They will probably also have [1] or [2] after the domain name and perhaps a .txt ending.

When you find those, delete them. Open up IE and go back to Hotmail and log in and see if the RTF editor is off.

Yes I am using XP Pro SP2 and IE

Tried holding down the CTRL key that didn’t solve the problem

Did the C:\Documents and Settings<yourcomputerusername>\Cookies and deleted everything with >@msn, @passport and @hotmail.msn sorry that did not work either.

Along the same lines went to “Tools, internet options, delete cookies, - no joy.

Same thing still happens when I click on Rich Text Off the page reloads with the Rich Text Editor still on and message line “an error has occurred click here to solve the problem” Click to solve – popup window “are you sure” click YES. Page reloads same again “error has occurred click HERE blah! blah! Click –same again and again and again

My concern is if I send a message to a non Hotmail account with the Rich Text f on but don’t use any of the Text features, just normal text message will it be Ok at the other end?
