Hotties on Vintage Television

Who were the babes on T.V. you lusted after while you were growing up?

April Dancer (Stefanie Powers)-“The Girl from U.N.C.L.E.”
Mary Ann Summers (Dawn Wells)-“Gilligan’s Island”
Barbara Gordon AKA Batgirl (Yvonne Craig)-“Batman”
Audra Barkley (Linda Evans)-“The Big Valley”
Elly Mae Clampett (Donna Douglas)-“The Beverly Hillbillies”

the characters played by Denise Nicholas and Karen Valentine on “Room 222”
the character Deanna Lund played on “Land of the Giants”

…and, a little later in life, Sonny (Donna Dixon)-“Bosom Buddies”

I know I’m missing a bunch here…a little help?

Barbara Eden - I Dream of Genie
Elisabeth Montgomery - Bewitched

Who was that incredible hottie on “The Munsters”?

Monte Markham . . . Mmmm . . . He was on two series and guested on just about every TV series in the '60s and '70s. He’s still damn cute, too.

All those cute young doctors: James Brolin, James Franciscus, Chad Everett
John Robinson (Guy Williams)
Rob Petrie (Dick Van Dyke)
Foghorn Leghorn (OK, so I’m a little strange)

No one comes close to Barbara Eden. Did you see the episode of The Andy Griffith Show where she played a manicurist? Oh my!

Also, Dawn Wells on Gilligan’s Island was quite nice.

I second Dawn Wells.

How about Diana Rigg on “The Avengers”? Oh my!

#2 Vintage Hottie: Emma Peel (Diana Rigg) in her Hellfire Club outfit from THE AVENGERS

#1 All-Time Vintage Hottie: Laura Petrie (Mary Tyler Moore) in her Capri(sp) pants. Yow!

Fenris

How could I forget -

Julie “Catwoman” Newmar!

Nichelle “Uhura” Nichols. Love that miniskirt!

Marliyn on The Munsters

Klink’s various secretaries

Holly on Land of the Lost (I was a kid then too!)

I can’t believe that no one has mentioned Marsha Brady (and if I have to mention what show, you deserve a dope slap). Sure, in the early seasons she’s a little young. However, as the series progressed she became quite the hottie. Maureen McCormic (who played Marsha) is still an attractive woman to this day.

Secondly, in the early days of “The Andy Griffith Show,” Andy’s love intrest was Ellie. I can’t remember the actresses name, but she was also the older sister in father knows best. Now, I wouldn’t exactly call her a hottie, but why Andy would give her up in favor of Helen Crump is beyond me. I’m sure that Andy cursed the writers for sticking him with Helen instead of Ellie for years there after.

Daisy Duke

Eva Gabor as Lisa Douglas. Quite the looker (particularly compared to Doris Ziffle and the other women of Hooterville - excepting, of course, the Bradley girls of Petticoat Junction). Besides, she has a great recipe for Hot Water Soup and looks fetching in a lingerie while scrambling eggs.

“New York is where I’d rather stay.
I get allergic smelling hay.
I just adore a penthouse view,
Darling, I love you but give me Park Avenue.”

I’ll second Elizabeth Montgomery.

Yes, she seemed intelligent and was a beauty, but she also had the extra “something” that makes a woman special. It’s a shame she’s gone.

Diana Rigg, from “The Avengers” without a doubt.

Brains, beauty and those incredibly sexy outfits. I always wanted to see what was behind all of those zippers on her jumpsuit.

To this day she still embodies dignity and charm. I’d make the beast with two backs with her in a heartbeat.

Colonel Wilma Deering (Erin Gray) on Buck Rogers in the 25th Century. Mmmmm. That shiny jumpsuit…

Tommy the Cat wrote:

Amen to that! Heck, I would’ve taken Charlene Darlin over Helen Crump. Miss Peggy (another one of Andy’s girlfriends) was also a hottie.

Ellie was played by Eleanor Donohue, I believe. She went on the play Chris Elliot’s mother in the short-lived Get a Life.

Prescilla Presley’s (Jenna) daughter on Dallas.

The fact that she’s getting better looking by the day doesn’t hurt anything either…

I always thought Elizabeth Montgomery was beautiful.

Also, he wasn’t on TV (that I know of, anyway) but John Gielgud was really gorgeous when he was younger. And that accent … mmmmm …

I don’t remember her name, but Mrs. Cleaver (The Beavers’ Mom). At least I used to think she was hot.
