House 10/23

I’ve had this problem with shows in the past, when someone has the “I’m not hallucinating! [this person] is sitting right there!” issue. Why doesn’t one of the doctors simply sit in the “occupied” chair? Why don’t they ask the woman to hand her mother a meal tray? After the fifth time she “drops” it, might the illusion not start to waiver a bit?

But, 'eh…it makes for good TV I suppose.

And by the magic of the internet, here it is!

Nice ep! good funny House, crazy unexplained sickness, good stuff!

Only thing that bugged me is that they said her mother died when she was like 25, so why did she appear as some old lady? Seems she would appear as the daughter remembered her.

IIRC - Mother died when she (patient) was 5 (or 25 years ago - one or the other).

Hal - If it were that easy there’d be far fewer psychotics and schizophrenics in the world.

Thanks! Interesting. I’m going to start blaming my little “episodes” on ergot.

Didn’t the Church of LDS consider black people “children of Ham” or something until fairly recently?

I wondered that too.

They said the patient was 24 and her mother had died at 25, 20 years earlier. (Per my cite above) Parkinson’s hits at 25 ?

Yeah, losing the Not a Doctor was disappointing, but not surprising - the show didn’t need two Houses.

One of these days I hope the Mystery Disease actually does turn out to be vasculitis, giving House a chance to vicariously relive his ordeal and save someone else’s leg…

I love the fact that Cuddy has a canned response for the 1st time one of House’s fellow’s approaches her.

Also, I like to ask my family at the end of the 1st act what they think the disease is this week. When I asked for this episode, my kids said (almost in unison)…“Lupus!”
