House 11/11

I’m a newcomer to House, the past two seasons, so, ya oldtimers forgive me in my newfound enthusiasm for One TV show I really like. I’m still GaGa for the good writing.

Tonight’s show was beyond the pale on what would have been allowed in any hospital, but, I loved the theme of being insular, and closing off emotions to the point that the patient scrubbed and poisoned himself. The sidelines of all the other relationships busting out, wow. And, it was the final song played,“I’m In Love With a Girl”, by old homeboy Alex Chilton, that made me get all weepy. It was the perfect end song.

Can someone spoil the last minute for me - my pvr cut out just as House hit Cuddy’s steps…

House looks at Cuddy through the window for a few moments, eventually turning around and walking away. The patient slowly steps outside and makes his way down to the sidewalk. Taub is sleeping on the couch and his wife lays down with him. Chase and Cameron playfully put his clothing away in a drawer at her place.

Is it just me, or is Wilson a lot more fun now? (I’ll admit that I haven’t been watching for the entire run)

Fire in the belly! Hah!

Did anyone else feel that the episode looked and sounded like an episode from some other series? The incidental music seemed funkier and edgier and the visuals seemed to be from a far different palette to usual - moodier and gloomier.

Or was it just my mood?

Yep it definitely had a darker look to it than the other eps. I think it was mainly due to the interiors of the guy’s house, which certainly had a claustrophobic feel. There was very little daylight in this ep I think.

Nah, I heard they’re always lighting farts during surgery. Helps to cut the tension.

I was so sure at the end that the guy was going to show up at Cameron’s door like House was about to show up at Cuddy’s.

Same thing happened last week to me. I checked, and the official end time is 9:01 EST. I made sure the DVR was set accordingly.

I did that weeks ago when it cut out as Wilson and House became friends again.

I really enjoyed this ep. Liked seeing Chase and Cameron again. I liked the way the storylines came together at the end. And I enjoyed every line that came out of Wilson’s mouth. Seems we’ve had good appearances by everybody in the cast this season – except Foreman. He was so much more interesting the first two seasons. The writers need to find something to do with him or let him go.
Oh and if House is going to make a move with Cuddy, that yummy private investigator of his should.

I still find Cameron highly annoying, but perhaps that’s just me.

As for the style of the episode, did anyone else catch those few second where they were using almost a shaky-cam style while focusing in on house? I wanted to throw something at the TV, but it was over fairly quickly. I don’t know what was up with that.

Wilson was his usual fun self, although it was hard to pay much attention to him because every time he comes on screen, my wife starts drooling over her “boyfriend” being on screen.

I definitely noticed that irritating shaky-cam interlude. Aside from that, interesting camera work.

Plenty of face time with Chase, yummy.

It’s not just you; I kept thinking “Ye gods, wench, get some therapy and stop coming onto people just because they’re broken.” I was happily surprised that she didn’t ruin things with Chase.

I also thought that Jennifer Morrison, whose comeliness is oddly variable, was incredibly beautiful in this episode.

Is that 13? Because she does nothing for me. I recognize she’s beautiful, but she just doesn’t attract me. As it is, I keep going back and forth with my lust for Cuddy.

I need to find a show that will offer me some proper girlfriends.

Sublata, I’m glad it wasn’t just me. But outside of being annoying, did that particular method serve some purpose that I just missed?

Overall, I enjoyed the episode. Taub is probably my favorite of the three subordinates, and I’m glad they dealt with his situation a little bit, although you get the feeling it’s temporary.

No, Jennifer Morrison is the actress who portrays Cameron. Olivia Wilde is the portrayer of 13, and Lisa Edelstein of Cuddy.

I thought the same the also, that she was prettier in this episode. I think it’s because her hair wasn’t as blond as it’s been these last couple of seasons. She’s slowly going back to her brunette look.

Funny, because the blonde is natural; she colored it in the beginning seasons.

I thought the same thing about Cameron. Her tough face makes her look hard, but when she’s vulnerable she looks very ethereal.

I liked that Cuddy called B.S. on Wilson’s declaration of affection. The look on his face was priceless.
