House 11/11

Maybe it’s just me, but I thought Wilson’s look indicated he did have feelings for Cuddy.

Yeah, I took that whole scene as Wilson really confessing his feelings for her, and when Cuddy took him as joking he just went along with it.

Ok, again the DVR and Fox conspire to keep me from seeing the last minute or so.

Please spoil. I got to the part where the patient and House are both standing at their respective thresholds. May I assume that House turns away but shut-in guy goes out?

Nevermind, zoomed right past this.

Agreed, although I thought he was actually being sarcastic when he said it. “Yeah, THAT’S it.” So I was actually surprised when she didn’t seem to pick up on it.

I won’t be the least bit surprised if they go somewhere more with the Wilson/Cuddy romance angle, particularly because of what it would do to House.

Huh. I took it as he was so hell-bent on manipulating House for once that he was trying (unsuccessfully) to be devious.

I can’t believe I forgot to start this thread…

I thought Morrison looked lovely.

I’m sure I’m missing something obvious, but why did House fail to kill the mosquito at the end when he had the chance?

It’s purposefully ambiguous, but it’s possible that the mosquito, in fact, a hallucination, and his shooing it away represents his decision to follow his own advice.

Which he promptly wimped out on, of course. I swear, he’s as wretched as a Welshman. (You’ve all seen how he runs.)

The House/Cuddy/Wilson triangle was just lovely. I really liked Cuddy describing how a relationship with House would go (I think she nailed it, too), and Wilson busting her on it. I also really liked how Wilson knew House wasn’t kidding when he said he hit that last night, blah blah. Those are some strange relationships, but I like 'em (mostly).

Does anyone else think getting knocked out in your own bed, taken for surgery and brought back to your own house to wake up is like, ideal?

Come to think of it, House didn’t have his cane with him at the end, did he? Is that significant or symbolic of something?

If I had to have the type of surgery that was so prolonged that they’d have time to transport me on top of everything else, I think I’d rather be actually in a hospital for recovery just in case something went wrong.

Great episode. I just wish the writers would whittle down the cast as there are too many redundancies.

This episode was about the staff and House much more than about the patient (was he in High Fidelity? looked familiar). It dealt with inner feelings, especially Cameron’s, in a way that seemed less jokish (word?) to me than other episodes. I was sorry to see House turn and walk away from Cuddy’s at the end. And yes, I think that Wilson is much more fun these days. Chase and Foreman are the eye candy, but Wilson is both yummmmy and a head trip.

I think that this episode clearly illustrate how completely interchangeable. We should be rid of one, and get a female part (aside from Cuddy) that is tolerable, intelligent, and doesn’t do stupid things like wake up the sick and and freak him out with bad news!
Whew that winded me a bit…

Good eye! (or memory). IMDB says yes.

I loved House’s dream. He turns his head to the left to look at the propane, then turns right and looks at the lit stove and BOOM. I reckon a relationship between House and Cuddy would be similar to the dream.

Wow, I mangled that statement.

That should read:

I think that this episode clearly illustrates how completely interchangeable Camron and 13 are. We should be rid of one, and get a female part (aside from Cuddy), that is tolerable, intelligent, and doesn’t do stupid things like wake up the sick guy and and freak him out with bad news!

I took it as House thinking of the mosquito as the vector, and that you couldn’t kill the messenger of one’s irritation: you have to deal with it yerself. The mosquito reminds one of irritation outside oneself; that a tiny insect, like seeds of mental complexes/duress, can create huge complications. Not killing the mosquito is a mental exercise in letting go and seeing what that concern reaps.

Yeah, I prolly think too much…

Yah - Wilson’s not that manipulative. Telling a woman you like her just to get her together with your friend is pretty cold.

Doesn’t he? Doesn’t he run like a Welshman?
