Moving to a different plot from the same episode; Is Chase going to sleep with Park? She’s been pushing for it for a while.

I think he might consider it, not because of any attraction to her but because he seems so jealous of her close family and may want to be a part of it.

I kind of got the feeling Park’s Grandma (that’s Po Po, right) would stay with Chase and Park would move back in with her Mom. I don’t think Chase is all that interested in her.

Possibly overthinking this, but…it seemed odd that a child actor (or the actor’s guardian) would consent to going to an unknown adult’s apartment for dinner, alone and unsupervised.

In fact, although I had guessed the kid was an actor during the initial coffee shop scene, I started second-guessing that when Wilson and the kid were alone together. It just didn’t seem like a situation that would be allowed to happen.

Not that “House” is a shining example of realistic storytelling, but this kind of bothered me for some reason.

We could fanwank that one by assuming the other’s were in on it and they gave the kid’s mom references as to Wilson’s character. We know that Wilson would never do anything to the kid so it doesn’t seem like it would take much to prove to the mom that he wouldn’t. Maybe he was wearing a wire so she could listen in on their conversation.

Now that I think about it, what should have struck Wilson as odd is that House didn’t demand a paternity test. I suppose it could be said that it’s because Wilson went back to her, so to speak, but he still should have made sure the kid was his and you know damn well House would have insisted and probably just gone ahead and done it himself if Wilson opted not to.
In a situation like this the paternity certainly should have been called into question, at least in House’s mind. And not only that, either result would have bummed out Wilson and House does love bumming out Wilson.

It’s possible, I didn’t really give it much thought when I came up with the idea just then. It would make sense that they would cover that aspect after that whole thing with Taub.

There’s a something else that seems strange to me: Are actors available for hire to participate in elaborate hoaxes? Did House call an agency and ask for a cute 11-year old boy who can flawlessly pretend to be someone’s son over the course of several days?

Anyway, the first indication of the hoax was when House said that he withheld some information from Wilson 12 years ago because, in essence, House was being kind and considerate, and now he is finally telling Wilson because … House is being kind and considerate. :eek:
