You mean “Sela.” Susan is a whole 'nother person.
Amen.
I like that song. I liked it the first time I heard it on The West Wing. It didn’t really fit there, but it kind of worked with the mood of the moment. Sort of. Especially if, like me, the viewer wasn’t all that familiar with the song.
It completely didn’t fit in last night’s House. I’ve no clue who thought “I know, ‘Hallelujah’ is sort of slow moving. This is a sort of slow series of scenes. Let’s stick them together!” It was a bad, bad, bad choice for an otherwise good episode.

Re: Halleljuah
Where do I know this song from? I know I’ve heard it in a movie or TV show in the past, but I can’t quite place it. Since I’ve never seen The West Wing, I know it’s not that…
I’m confused about why they jumped to a list of drugs that could have been messing with the guy’s anion gap. I’m sitting there saying “Alcohol. Alcohol. Alcohol” to my TV. They weren’t listening. Sure, drugs can affect it too, but that many doctors and nobody thought that maybe the guy had alcohol in his system?
Hal Briston: The song is on the Shrek soundtrack. Could that be where you heard it?
Hallelujah was featured prominently in the finale of the first season of Without a Trace, which was the first time I heard it.
Smack thyself not, Archive Guy. They are both hot brunettes, and an opportunity to verify this is a good thing, verily.
In that vein:

Bingo. Thanky much…
“Hallelujah” was also the show-closing song of a first-season The O.C. episode. You think TV show music directors are just too lazy to listen to some new music and find another sad song?
They could always go with “Mad World.” That one must have been used a dozen times during the last TV season.
