I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am puzzled that they haven’t even been able to invent a plausible reason to impeach him.
Because there isn’t one. And most GOP House reps aren’t just dishonest and morally corrupt, but stupid as well.
Here’s what they’ve got. Publicly, at least:
Surprisingly, Treasury and other departments are now cooperating and turning over suspicious activity reports. The National Archives agreed to turn over all the E-mails Joe allegedly wrote to Hunter’s partners under a pseudonym.
Joe Biden claimed there is an ‘absolute firewall’ between him and his son’s businesses. He claimed he had never spoken to any of Hunter’s business partners or customers, and that he knows nothing at all about his son’d business dealings. He was lying. He lied againt he other day when asked about it. But the evidence is clear that Joe met with various Hunter clients and associates over 20 times.
The line that there is absolutely no evidence tying Joe to Hunter’s business is just a Democratic talking point. There is PLENTY of evidence. It’s documented in those pages. The evidence is not yet dispositive, and Biden is innocent until proven guilty, but there IS evidence. Just not proof. That’s what investigations are for.
The big mystery, if you think this was all legit, is “What exactly was Hunter selling?” What was the product? What value were they bringing to the people who sent them millions? The answer is that they were selling access to Joe. Devon Archer says it was just the ‘appearance’ of access. Either way, it’s influence peddling in foreign countries, and Joe Biden appears to have known all about it and probably profited from it.
But even if he didn’t personally profit, his family did. And that’s all you need. The notion that nothing was wrong unless money went into Joe’s pocket directly was always a smokescreen. Helping your kids is just as corrupt as helping yourelf, if that’s what he did. What needs to be established is what was offered to those foreign nationals, and did Joe deliver on any of it?

Helping kids is corrupt? Does that mean I’m corrupt for paying for my toddler’s Montessori daycare? This is such a ridiculous claim that asking for a cite is pointless.

$20 says Sam repeats the same baseless GOP bullshit from earlier in this thread, which was refuted and debunked piece by bullshit piece. None of it was actual evidence of wrongdoing by Joe Biden. Not a single bit.
A google search for “Joe Biden” and “absolute firewall” gets almost no results. The only one that’s even relevant to this topic is an interview with somebody from the Washington Examiner. So I’m assuming Sam is just parroting that interview.

I did not watch the whole thing, but in that portion of the clip, that lady is also saying a lot of stuff about having evidence without actually providing evidence.
Just as a quick recap from earlier in the thread, Sam frequently shared the GOP House committee’s lies as cites. I and others showed many instances proving these claims by the GOP House committee were indeed false and baseless, and asked Sam here to show the actual documents (NOT the GOP claims about the documents), with actual quotes, that showed the supposed wrongdoing:

Suppertime has apparently lasted 3 months, since Sam never actually provided those details. Just more GOP House committee lies.
Once again, Sam, the GOP House committee has lied with every pronouncement about the documents they have made. Looking at the actual documents disproves every claim of wrongdoing they make. If you disagree, cite to the actual documents, with the specific claims about the wrongdoing. The specific words. NOT the committee’s claims about the documents, but the documents themselves. Otherwise it’s the same old bullshit you’ve been offering for months.

To clarify the bit about ‘not talking about business’, basically on those phone calls Archer says that Hunter would promise something that his dad could do for someone, and to show he had close access to his dad they’d get him on the phone. He’d talk about the weather, say hi to the nice peopple, and hang up. Nothing incriminating said on the call. But the clients would be reassured that Hunter really did have access to his Dad and Dad knew he was doing it.
Archer called that ‘selling the illusion of access’. In other words, he claims they thought they were just defrauding people in other countries, not actually engaging in influence peddling. But of course he would say that, or he’s in deep trouble.
So your evidence for the claim about wrongdoing is that a guy said that Joe Biden talked about the weather to a few people?

I was providing cites for Joe talking to Hunter’s associates more than 20 times, when Joe has been categorically stating since before the election that he has never, ever talked to Hunter about his business dealings, doesn’t know what his son does, and had never met any associates or clients.
Do I need to link to the pictures of Joe with Hunter’s clients?

It’s already been debunked, in this thread and others. The GOP House committee takes mundane documents and testimony and lies about it, over and over, to slander the president. And you repeat these lies, even after they’re shown to be lies.
They aren’t common knowledge to me, FWIW. And I stay pretty informed on national politics.
